just in case you needed the whole thread.....

TheIceQueen · 04/01/2008 16:13

thanks piggy

Darrell - that's the thread I've just been looking at - but southeastastra's 2 posts giving different dates didn't help - not to mention more4, e4, channel 4 all being mentioned.

Why don't they just write an episode where the entire hospital is obliterated by a giant meteor and put everyone out of their misery?

I swear, if that show gets any more depressing and dark each episode will involve staring at a black screen for an hour.

TheIceQueen · 04/01/2008 16:19

Fck the bl*dy Virgin on-demand service - I've just been looking at some of the Series 13 episodes guides I knew that the "last" episode I watched on there didn't seem like an end of series one........I've missed the last 11 of it

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 16:26

But IQ, you haven't missed anything!

I can sum it up for you without even watching it: those who haven't died are utterly miserable and live like moles in dank, dark places with no electricity.

TheIceQueen · 04/01/2008 16:29

ok please ignore my last outburst I've just checked - it would appear that 4oD (courtesy of Virgin OD) actually showed the first 11 series - then when the viewing time for those were up - put the rest of Series 13 on......so I have the rest of Series 13 sat there waiting for me to watch .

Expat - we agree on lots of things and I respect you a lot - but I can't POSSIBLY agree with you on this one you're talking bollox - I LOVE ER.

Luka is never going to get naked on it.

And he's with that moany moo Abby.

So it's pants .

TheIceQueen · 04/01/2008 16:36

ahh - but it leaves more to the imagination - DH has now given up hope of getting sense out of me when he's on the TV

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 16:37

isn't he leaving the show, though?

he needs to be around when i give birth to his child .

TheIceQueen · 04/01/2008 16:41

yes apparently he is.......oh well - life goes on - but I'll still watch it.

when you give birth to his child - he's been rather busy then

There are no light bulbs in Chicago doncha know
So depressing now Er, I've emigrated to Gray's Anatomy
Now there are some lurvely lights on that show

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 16:49

My mother is addicted to Grey's Anatomy, but the characters are too abnormally pretty and surgically enhanced on there for my tastes.

Piggy · 04/01/2008 16:51

Luka doesn't really need to get naked though does he? He's so damned gorgeous with his clothes on. I think I'd pass out if he got naked.

DarrellRivers · 04/01/2008 16:52

Trouble is expat, i find that more entertaining now, at least they seem to be having a laugh, having sex, getting drunk etc etc
ER is so so so so depressing (have watched it for years)

Is there a drama in-between the two extremes?

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 16:54

Hmm, I might have to give it a go then, DR.

Yes, I do enjoy watching people get drunk and make fools out of themselves on the small screen .

Maybe that's why Mama likes it so much.

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 16:54

ER takes itself too seriously.

Sense of humour right up there with a maggot sandwich.

DarrellRivers · 04/01/2008 16:55

Makes me smile
God we need that some days

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 16:57

And it is rather nice to see fit-looking blokes in various states of nudity.

That always makes me smile .

DarrellRivers · 04/01/2008 17:00

Well actually that is the real reason i watch it

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 17:01

Plus, DH will be completely uninterested, thus providing the perfect pretext for me to clandestinely oggle fit blokes in various states of undress.

Yes, I am liking this show already.
