Bring back Debs Brownlow - the show just isn’t the same without her…

But Imran was defending Kelly, quite passionately. He wanted Kelly to live with them, but they couldn’t have Kelly and Elsie. Surely Kelly wouldn’t go against him??

Mollypolly2610 · 04/05/2022 22:39

Or Roy is paying it?

MichaelAndEagle · 04/05/2022 22:44

Its Kelly I reckon. Feels guilty about her part in it all.

Ellenanora7 · 04/05/2022 23:02

I reckon it's Kelly too

Imran is disgusting to do that to Abi, she doesn't deserve that at all and as for Toyah, I hope she's left wallowing in her own misery all alone for the way she's treated Abi too.

I hope Peter doesn't start drinking again but I can see the return of the blanket and the jigsaw.

ajandjjmum · 05/05/2022 08:10

Can consultants dish out verbal warnings like that?

I know Kelly feels guilty (rightly) but couldn't quite believe that she would just dump Toyah and Imran to help Abi. When she was in the cafe, she seemed to have forgotten she had any association with them.

ceecee32 · 05/05/2022 08:24

Surely Abi's barrister would have been able to ask Imrans witness some questions ?

SpindleInTheWind · 05/05/2022 08:31

I’m afraid those hospital and courtroom scenes were about as realistic as my chances of winning the lottery without buying a ticket.

Why do they do it? The lawyer and consultant actors quite good as well. Shame about the plot and script they were part of.

No
Utterly ridiculous.
Doctors dont line manage nurses.
He would have his arse handed to him and HR involved.

Aggie is also breaking confidentiality, discussing what she heard and about one of her neighbours and in a public place.
Is Peters transplant going to fail?
They were far too chirpy about how well he is.
Is the Dressing Gown of Doom coming back 😂

SpindleInTheWind · 05/05/2022 10:04

And where has the consultant recorded this 'first verbal warning'? In his First Verbal Warning Notebook? According to the script he can't even use a computer or an iPad.

So yes, Peter's fucked. I expect the plotline is that Mr Consultant is fudging over the blood test results and Dr Gadass will see them and let it slip in the Rovers, possibly while Aggie's in the next booth telling Ed the same thing, and Peter will relapse into bottom of a bottle.

woodhill · 05/05/2022 10:44

Yes the consultant thing was crazy, what did she do wrong anyway. She would contact HR

I vote for @SpindleInTheWind to get the next plot writer vacancy Grin

Thank you @familyissues12345 Grin

I will also have Faye and Craig being mistaken for Meghan and Harry by some visiting American tourists; and Toyah will of course kidnap baby Alfie because she 'can't bear to lose him' and Imran, in a fit of remorse, will confess all and give him back to Abi who will reunite with Kevin.

Shona, Alya and Carla, our swishy-haired triplets, will become BFFs, bonding over the nationwide Frizz-Eze shortage.

Love the Faye/Craig Vs Megan/Harry storyline. There are similarities in looks!

Sidisawetlettuce · 05/05/2022 15:13

Why was the Consultant shouting at Aggie? I must have passed out and missed the excitement. I suppose I could go back and watch t but I don't know if I face it again 😬

Utterly inspired! Brilliant stuff! 😂

pedropony76 · 05/05/2022 22:13

GOD. I hate Imran so much, how low can he go?? He knows Abi had a good chance of getting custody with Elliot by her side so he decided to play dirty. What a joke.

The consultant talking down to Aggie was so ridiculous too. Wonder where that storyline will go

thenightsky · 05/05/2022 22:15

I'm a PA to a consultant just like that. Not ridiculous at all. They can be bastards if they need to 'move' blame.

woodhill · 05/05/2022 22:27

As a nurse would she be under his remit in the way a PA is but I get your point

thenightsky · 05/05/2022 22:53

Oh yes... he wouldn't speak to a nurse like that. Us admin have to take the shit.

Oh no I’m not doubting some consultants are like that at all. I meant it was ridiculous in a ‘how dare he talk down to her like that’ way

Lockdownlard · 06/05/2022 06:32

Consultants can be like that, and some still see nurses as their handmaidens. What I don’t get is Aggie works all over the hospital - obviously this was in outpatients, but you see her in paediatrics, intensive care, A&E, maternity, in general wards - is she the flying nurse who rotates around the whole hospital? A bit like Craig is to the police?!

Spidey66 · 06/05/2022 12:36

Like Sonia in EE who's all over Walford General like a rash.

I must be lucky, I'm in nursing and I've not come over this kind of behaviour for about 30 years. The majority appreciate the work and opinions of the nursing team.

SpindleInTheWind · 06/05/2022 12:44

It was bit like the consultant behaviour they portrayed in Call the Widwife in the 1960s!

I presume today a senior Flying Nurse like Aggie would tell him to fuck off, not go and gossip about it (and the patient) in the pub with her exceedingly loud husband.

woodhill · 06/05/2022 12:57

Don't forget Dr Kennedy in Neighbours who used to run the hospital single-handedly and have a separate surgery at one point

Soaps definitely utilise their characters in shoe horned plots

SpindleInTheWind · 06/05/2022 13:29

I remember Dr Karl Kennedy turning up once to assist with someone's brain surgery. Might have been Daphne with a fetching bandage round her pretty hair.

Dr Turner in CTM gets about a bit too.
