Guess what I just read!

From the 7th of March, Doctors will be repeated every day at 7pm on BBC 2- so kind of prime time Grin.

So that's fun Grin.

(Not sure if it's permanent or just an experiment).

Still only Monday to Thursday, but can't have everything. Grin

More staff? What about patients!

doctorsnoddy · 24/02/2022 14:12

A glib reply from Daniel considering the shortage of GPs!

Raahh · 24/02/2022 14:12

I think if I thought I had swallowed a magnetic piercing, I would have gone to A and E first, tbh.

Phew! Hazeem actually answered the phone.

I feel like Jimmi is doing the counselling because other people think he should be doing it. Plus he feels guilty about Tim. Not because he's in the right headspace to do it. So to speak.

I am very Sad It is the last Shakespeare and Hathaway of the new series today. They are repeating them from the start next week- which would be ok, if I hadn't started watching them all again earlier this week with DD2 (who has become a bit of an addictGrin).

I love Shakespeare and Hathaway. Sebastian is a hoot. I have no idea why that hasn't migrated to prime time.

Raahh · 24/02/2022 14:37

Fuzzy me neither- I really like it. Sebastian is great- his disguises are very good Grin.

I still maintain S&H should be prime time. It’s such an easy, fun watch.
I’ve spend most of this week marvelling at the seemingly huge height of Sebastian. Hadn’t realised he was that tall until he was stood next to the train spotters. Very little about him online so I can’t decide exactly how tall he is.

I have two recorded from last week that I missed. I shall enjoy them over the weekend.

FuzzyPuffling · 24/02/2022 18:51

I especially liked his Train-Spotter-Where's-Wally-Geek outfit.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 24/02/2022 19:56

I love how this has become a Shakespeare and Hathaway fan page too! I think Hathaway has lost some weight since last series which is good as while he has always been round he wasn't looking too healthy before (love the actor and am not fat shaming for the sake of it, he did just look like his weight would make him unwell before). Sebastian is a lovely character!
Re today's episode. I thought Hazeem was really camp when he came in to the show and thought he might be gay despite the stalking woman! Quite surprised to see him checking out the ladies!!

Raahh · 24/02/2022 20:19

I am very good at de-railing threads I'm on with talk of other thngs. The tennis thread is often about anything but tennis Grin.

I love Mark Benton. Very under used as an actor. DD2 couldn't believe he had been on Strictly- but he didn't do too badly. It was the year Abby Clancy won- he was the 9th person to go (though he was in the bottom 2 a lot).

OP posts:
smallandimperfectlyformed · 24/02/2022 23:01

I didn't know he had been on Strictly! Though to be fair I don't watch it. He did a lovely show with Robson Green a few years ago, Northern lights and City Lights about two warring neighbours. Did you see Danny John Jules in the ballroom dancing episode of S&H? Ended with Frank dancing!!

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 25/02/2022 09:25

Mark Benton will always be Eddie from Early Doors to me. One of the most underrated comedies ever!

Raahh · 25/02/2022 10:21

small We have just re-watched the episode that had a charity ball in it, that was Midummer Night's Dream themed- and Frank got up to dance at the end of that- which prompted the Strictly conversation. Grin
I hope there is another series sooner rather than later (I think this series was delayed because of covid- like everything else!)

I think Jo Joyner wears such lovely clothes on S&H. Gorgeously colourful and a little quirky without tipping into Val territory!

I've been absolutely in love with her knee length red docs since season one. I tried a pair on and looked like a golf club. Devastated.

I read this as Midsummer Murders themed. That would be awesome.Grin

Bingle a crossover episodeGrin Sounds like a Children in Need specialGrin.

Big coincidence -on our S and H re-watch, we are now up an episode in series 2 that Davinia has turned up on!! Talk about random Grin.

I might even watch CIN for that. What happened with the environmental linked episodes? I only watch Doctors so missed it all.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 26/02/2022 23:00

The environmental episodes were dull really. In Doctors we saw the doctors talking about Liam's allotment in Emmerdale. It was a bit or a let down

Raahh · 27/02/2022 09:03

Yes, that just sort of fizzled out, the environmental thing.
I saw Doctors mentioned on Hollyoaks, I think. And I think Hollyoaks was mentioned on Holby. Or that might have been Eastenders Grin.

It wasn't quite the big soap'crossover' in the way it was made out to be, was it, because it was all just lots of clips on ipads and phones Grin. Not Daniel actually turning up in Walford dressed as a lycra clad super hero Grin.

OP posts:
Binglebong · 27/02/2022 13:01

Well that's just disappointing. I think a crossover has potential but it has to be done properly.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 27/02/2022 18:42

In fairness to the soaps this was also done in the dark days of social distancing etc so they probably couldn't have gone onto each others sets. Remember when Sir Ian McKellen was on Corrie as a conman? He loved it and said he wanted to play the same character in Eastenders as well! I would like to see that kind of crossover- like Holby City and Casualty!
