@thehillswerebright

I think you can maybe get a recap on the main menu for the show. I just want to hug Javi and I want Melanie back!
Ahhh bless him he definitely needs a cuddle
tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 26/02/2022 23:02

@SusannaQueen

Just watched again so DH can catch up, what was the thing that Pike crushed at the end?
Was it a remote control for another fire/bomb and he changed his mind?
SusannaQueen · 27/02/2022 20:13

I thought so on first viewing. But watching it again, it seemed to be something crunchy, like glass?

@tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz

Sooo turns out Bess is actually Till ... why on earth have I been calling her by the wrong name?!! Grin

Doesn't Willfords little hospital room look pleasant?

Bess is her first name, Till is her surname.
SusannaQueen · 01/03/2022 18:03

FFS, is all I have to say.

OK, I have more to say now I've calmed down a bit, but don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't watched episode 6 though.

I thought last nights ep was lacking something but I'm not sure what 😂

MoiraQ · 02/03/2022 18:26

Well they will be lacking Pike going forward!
I hate the way they build characters up only to kill them, probably as a plot device to turn Ruth against Layton. I'm very much losing faith in Layton and he chose the knives because he didn't want his Eden secret getting out. The lying isn't cool, I suspect it will trip him up soon. Steven Ogg's performance was top notch though.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 04/03/2022 09:25

Agree Ruth may turn against him but also those who know Eden isn't exactly what he's selling may now worry as clearly Andre doesn't want that little secret getting out. It's good to see another side of his character and what lengths someone whose been hero of the underclass will go to for what they think is the right path. I found I was rooting for Pike.

Sean Bean gave me the heebie jeebies Confused

And what is it in tv, when there is a scene involving a baby (the fight one) they always play that irritating, over egged crying? When in reality we all know she would sleep through it like the proverbial baby? She is a gorgeous baby though. Zara is still irritating.

At least Audrey didn't sing.

MoiraQ · 06/03/2022 21:25

Sean Bean always gives me the heebies! I was rooting for Pike too.

Zarah is irritating, out for herself usually, not much better than Audrey. I actually thought Audrey would redeem herself, but no sign this episode.

Apparently viewing figures have been dropping, I'm guessing there won't be a season 5.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 07/03/2022 12:16

Yes I can see why, it needs to stop meandering and get back on track > see what I did there?!!!Grin

thehillswerebright · 08/03/2022 21:54

Well that was an interesting episode!

Flump9 · 09/03/2022 00:56

Did anyone else notice Wilford looked like the man from Del Monte with the white hat and said he was a supplier of tropical fruits or something like that?!

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 09/03/2022 20:32

Ha! Yes he really did.

It was a fun episode but another filler.

Although I now believe even more that Melanie is alive!

MoiraQ · 14/03/2022 15:55

Nothing much to say, bit of a wasted episode, all filler. Sean Bean definitely giving off Del Monte vibes though!

MyrtlethePurpleTurtle · 15/03/2022 16:28

I really like it but Leyton now irritates the fuck out of me with his megalomaniac delusions and ego now he has a baby. Team Wilfred!

BluerThanRobinsEggs · 15/03/2022 19:24

Sean Bean in his nice grey M&S zip cardy did not look good.

sophienelisse · 15/03/2022 20:04

I've o my watched one episode but is Sean bean in it?

I could persevere with it if so.

MoiraQ · 17/03/2022 20:17

@sophienelisse

Yes, lots of Sean Bean, if he floats your boat (he doesn't mine).

Do we assume Mrs. Headwood is resurrecting Mr. Headwood?

FromOurHatsToOurFeet · 30/03/2022 21:25

Was that it- 10 episodes? Will there be another series?

Abra1d1 · 31/03/2022 09:42

Apparently there will be a s4, yes.

Probably the missile-firing folk at the very end will be involved.

drwitch · 31/03/2022 14:03

Did anyone get a sense of what proportion left and what proportion stayed. - Also did anyone check that they had the collective skill set to survive without power + food. - Is season 4 going to be about competition for scarce resources?

Abra1d1 · 31/03/2022 14:50

Yes, how many of the horticulturalists left with them? Most of the tailies left, so there are some very resilient and practical people who would be able to construct shelters if the train's too unstable now. They have Alex and Javi on the engineering side. Did both doctors stay on the train?

ParadiseLaundry · 08/04/2022 19:13

Sorry for being late to the party and apologies because I always geek out and kill these threads.

I bloody love Snowpiercer, I was waiting until all the episodes were live before watching because I hate waiting between episodes. I really want something similar to watch if anyone has any suggestions?

Lol at Wilford being the Man from Del monte in that episode! I know it was a bit of a waste of an episode narrative wise but I quite enjoyed it. I also thought in his 'M&S jumper' he had quite sweet nice dad-man vibes, which I'm sure was intentional. He's so weird and unpredictable as a bad guy, which I love!

Re Javi, I also wanted to hug him, my heart was breaking for him, he's so sweet. I've always had a soft spot for him. I love men in glasses. I find him quite dreamy Blush

Also, why when they got Mel back and they were discussing going to the warm spot and she didn't think it was a great idea, did it have to be a battle and end with them splitting trains? Couldn't they have compromised with 'let's have another revolution or two (6 months per revolution) and gather more data to see if this makes sense' they already said the train was getting old but had another decade so surely that was the least risky scenario? Happy to be set straight if anything was said to contradict this idea!

Boxbox2 · 08/04/2022 19:18

I understood that it was the dodgy track that was a major issue about the journey to New Eden - there was a risk the train would derail on the way then they'd be stuck and freeze.
Thought the series got much better once Melanie came back! Layton really annoys me too
