I'm so gutted how they showed all the characters! Anna wasn't a innocent defenceless person who was having her life taken away! She was a ruthless narcissistic person who used everyone ! She used the hotel woman for her contacts while conning and then her sympathy for the exposure at court. She used the journalist and the lawyer ! I spent so much time just shouting at the TV! Why are u pandering to her. It felt she conned Netflix into making her a completely different person to what she was! Why did they do that!

I read that Neff was a consultant on the show. And from this interview is still delusional.

I've just finished it & agree totally. I'm annoyed that Netflix have enabled her to continue her "game". The only plus is she comes over as such a nasty character even towards her own team - the lawyer, journalist etc. Yet they were all so forgiving.
I read that she is currently being held by the immigration authorities having previously challenged an attempt to deport her. I always thought US immigration was very strict so surprised she hasn't been sent back to Germany yet.

I don’t think she was particularly smart, just rich people are very shallow, especially if they think they can get richer...

I've seen on her Instagram account loads of woman saying they look up to her and she like worship her it's so terrible! And I think Netflixs helped with that!

I know neff was part of production of the Netflixs show and they were being paid and knew about it while on trial , I think that had big helping in how favourable they were shown to be , just outrageous on Netflixs part I think

Only half way through but I feel like it's clear Anna is manipulating everybody. I don't feel it's sympathetic. Although, how can you sympathetically portray a woman who overstays her welcome with a woman she rips off, never brings her credit card, never picks up the bill, stings her working friend...
