Anyone watching this, I couldn't see a thread, it started on Thursday but it is all available to watch, 4 episodes so not too long, it seems quite good, I haven't read the book though.

I binged last night. I was a bit disappointed as I guessed quite early on what was happening and who the culprit was. Now watching The Promise on BBC 4.

Just watching now. Not sure what to think

Well, I have watched it all now, I think I enjoyed it, I didn't guess what happened in the end.

The Promise is next on my list, didn't watch it last night as I was a bit tired to watch subtitles.

I was a unsure about The Promise as the subject matter could be distressing, but so far it's been OK. Interesting premise;. A bit confusing initially but then everything soon clicks into place (different timelines).

Couldn't get through the first episode of this. Really disappointed as I like Robert Harris books.

It was just so slow that I was totally bored and it wasn't holding my attention. I also found the background music really overbearing. Several minutes of doom-mongering, thudding music ruined every potentially exciting scene because you knew knowing bad hung to happen.

A big no from me.

I enjoyed it. Bit daft but well done. Also, in an age where some shows are strung out for too many episodes, I think this could have gone another two or so. Nice to see Josh Hartnett back on screen too as I had a massive crush on him in my 20's.

Didn’t appeal to me

Which is a shame as usually I’m easily pleased and watch most stuff
