Aiden and Carrie!

Waaaahhhh so I'm watching SATC again and I'm currently 2 episodes aaah from "change of dress" when they break up and I just can't take it! Every time I watch SATC I fall in love with aiden and I get so mad at Carrie 🙈 He is SO lovely!!!!!
Big was ni match for Aide , there I said it 🙈

He was childish, whiny and controlling.
Big had his issues but he was more attractive in every way!

Remember the moment he shouted at Carrie "YOU BROKE MY HEART" absolute cringe! What man talks like that?!

Aidan was painful! All that talking and touching all the time, he was so annoying. Couldn't deal with someone needing to be so "close" to you all the time.

Ah no he was so intense, and ignored soooo many big flashing signs that Carrie wasn’t ready to be railroaded into commitment.

She acted appallingly too as always but something about Aiden makes me all crawly.

I hated that she put the engagement ring around her neck and then said “so it’s closer to my heart” when in reality she just didn’t want to be engaged to him. I’d have him, (and his little baby Tater!) in a heartbeat.

God, he was AWFUL. Wet drip of a man. And the noises and weird way of talking. Urgh.

Team Big (he was too good for the awful Carrie).

First time watching SATC I absolutely loved Aiden, couldn't understand what Carrie was thinking by not staying with him.

Watching it again a few years later I could see that they were just so incompatible.

And yes he did have a weird way of talking! Definitely would have given me the ick after a while.

I adore him but the marriage thing did annoy me and the Carrie wearing the engagement ring..... YUK!!!!!

I hated Aidan too, so needy! That being said I did enjoy their getting back together storyline in S4, and I loved his proposal and also didn’t blame him when she’d never wear the ring etc. Overall though I’m glad she ditched him!

Currently rewatching too and this time round not so keen on any of Carrie’s love interests. Although will admit Aidan was way better than Berger!

My favourite out of all the boyfriends is Smith. Did not appreciate what an amazing boyfriend he was to Samantha on the first time of watching…..think I was too blown away by his looks!

What I always thought was strange was when she first discovered the ring she hated it. Whined about how he 'didnt know her' but it was Miranda who helped pick it!

I enjoyed the episode when Carrie somehow ended up on a holiday with Aidan and Big (can't quite remember how) and they got on like a house on fire and she was annoyed they were leaving her out.

So I'm just on season 5 and I think this is absolute PEAK annoying Carrie. The hair, the fake smile and voice... why was SJP so annoying at this point?!!!!
(I'm aware she's pregnant and it's not that!)

Agree on season 5, you compare that to the Carrie from up until maybe episode 10 season 4 and it’s like she’s had a personality transplant! Can’t watch it now.

It was the high pitched squeals that used to piss me off most about her - that time she was at Aidens cabin baking a pie and kept squealing about a bloody squirrel or something. But yes, as a character she was often quite unlikeable!

He was good looking and the carpentry thing was sexy but he was a controlling whinge bag.

Yes I agree with the squealing! I think it was episode 1 season 5 when she got caught in the rain and was squealing like crazy 😰😰😰

She definitely aged about 10 years post Aiden. Up until now I was thinking... why did she annoy me so much and now I'm just like ahhhhh yes I remember 😓
