I like the characters of Sarah, Kathy Erica & Neil.

Maybe having Emma's mum's murder being the focus of the 1st series made it more "personal" & people were more invested in it?

Resurrecting this thread. Just watched all of series 2 on iplayer.
Disliked the first 2 episodes, found the dialogue and relationship between Emma and Daniel totally unbelievable. Was considering ditching it, but thought, one more episode . . . Glad I did, it wasn’t brilliant, but the bomb plot was more interesting than Emma and Daniel looking at each going “WTF are we doing together?”

We've started watching this on iPlayer (Blue Lights is just too high stress for a Monday night) and jeezo, it's a hard watch. The dialogue is really clunky, which is weird considering it's written by a decent actor (Amelia Bullmore), and while half the actors aren't bad, the other half are borderline school play level, which is so distracting. Maybe it gets more engrossing as it goes on...

Yes, we watched S1 and I remember it being a lot better than this. Without wanting to spoiler anything, it did feel as if a couple of actors did the acting equivalent of 'remembering they'd left the iron on' and scuttled away from the mess, mid-series...

I had a look at the writing credits and Amelia Bullmore reappeared to write the last two episodes so maybe it'll pick up.

Yes, Granite Harbour is total crap!

I’m so confused. I don’t remember them having partners in the first series. Then trying to make out like it’s a great love story when they are cheating in their partners, put me right off their characters. Also what about the head in the plastic bag?
