A friend of mine appeared on it last year. He said it was absolutely knackering going out somewhere for dinner every night and by the end of the week he was totally fed up with rich food!

McDreamy · 31/12/2007 18:10

I really like it. It's much better now it's all shown in one programme rather than over a week. I would love to do it.

MaryAnnSingleton · 31/12/2007 18:10

I've seen it a few times - quite entertaining !

twinsetandpearls · 31/12/2007 18:10

I love this but agree that taking part muct be exhausting and hell for your digestive system

PinkPussyCatInExcelsis · 31/12/2007 18:11

I love the narrator - very droll!

octavia · 31/12/2007 18:24

Yes I agree about all the rich food,I think by Wednesday you would just want toast!I'd love to do it as well, goodness knows what I'll cook though

I always feel for the person who gets the last day when everyone just wants beans on toast and a mugh of tea while watching corrie.

TwoIfBySea · 31/12/2007 21:58

Another fan of the show here, the narrator makes it watchable with his comments.

Who was your friend DaisyMoo? You can hint, give saddos like me who watch the repeats something to do on Hogmanay while everyone else is out having fun!

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 31/12/2007 22:00

I watch this occasinally when I find it on and think it is great.

scrummymummy1965 · 31/12/2007 22:02

I am a fan. Someone I know was on it. (It was actually repeated last week on the Christmas Come Dine with me).

UniversallyChallenged · 31/12/2007 22:11

all my dds love this, even the teenager, it's good fun!

TrinityRhinosDhWonHerAnIPOD · 31/12/2007 22:15

I love this too
I always think ugh I couldn't eat out like that for five days in a row
I'd be farting a good 'un for a start

DaisyMoo · 01/01/2008 12:07

My friend was the man who went and got his own pork from his friend on a farm and lived in a thatched cottage. Saw him last night at a NYE party and everyone was taking the piss, poor bloke!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 01/01/2008 12:10

DAisyMoo - where have you been??!!!!

DaisyMoo · 01/01/2008 12:35

pyjamagirl · 03/01/2008 17:32

It's better now it's all in one episode, I love cosying up with dp and dc and watching this late Sunday afternoons

carmenelectra · 03/01/2008 17:33

love it. havent seen it today though. Oh im mad now. Love any cookery progs. Even got ds1 into watching it the other day

lilolilmanchester · 03/01/2008 20:19

Just found out you can get it on catch-up TV via on-demand. Can watch a whole weeks worth in one go. Ace! Watched 2 over Christmas - one with the guy who borrowed his mate's flat and got his gf & pal to help cook the meal, and the woman who voted low to win (won't tell you what happened incase you still want to watch it). All the guests cooked pretty good food. Then the Scottish one with all the mad guests (white witch, English snooty woman, casino owner), with very average food winning and most of it being absolutely dire! Fab TV.

carmenelectra · 03/01/2008 20:29

oh i watched the one with woman voting low to win! Thats the one i saw with ds! Have seen the white witch one before too

lilolilmanchester · 03/01/2008 20:58

oh, so are they from an old series then? (not sure cos they are repeats whether they were from the last couple of weeks or ages ago)

carmenelectra · 03/01/2008 20:59

yes must definitely be an old series. Ive seen quite a few before although some are new to me.

3andnomore · 05/01/2008 00:02

I love the programme....the characters they mix etc...make it good viewing....
Always makes me think that I want to host a proper nice little Dinner Party again....but just not gonna happen for another few years, I think, lol!
This weeks was 5 individual programmes, wasn't it?
But I have seen some all in one go ones...
