Cook book challenge- loved it !!

Hi all. Cant find any other thread..i so enjoyed this.
I loved the Green Geek and the austrian lady. Thought the surgeons food looked delish and easy to make.
But the young lad chosen had such an attitude / annoying cheeky chappie ! I think the vegan scene is over done. The ex vegetarian book I wouldnt buy
I thought they picked the wrong people. Any one else cant wait for next Monday ??

I really liked Ray the Filipino chef. He spoke so confidently about his food and really sold it to me. I knew they’d put that really annoying bloke through because he is a ‘personality’. I don’t think he’ll go that far though.

I hope not @Lipsandlashes ! I thought it great. Cant wait for next week.

It’s such an interesting program. The judges seem lovely and very knowledgable. Good range of cooks.

I enjoyed it. But I thought it was odd how quite a few of the recipes chosen were potentially not very representative of the eventual book - risotto, rabbit, Sachertorte. I wonder if they were steered that way to create “more interesting” tv???

Possibly they had to switch things around so they didn’t get any overlap

I though the choc cake was a perfect thing to showcase

I’m enjoying this format, however artificial the setup is (doesn’t the food get stone cold by the time it’s been photographed, then carried a mile through the warehouse? I’m wondering where it’s filmed: the location looks gorgeous. I was totally surprised by the choices in the second week, but I can only think they liked the concept of one, and the novelty of the cuisine in the other.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to catching up with the next episode.
