Have seen lots of clips for this and it looks good but i didnt watch the first one (Ruby in the Smoke?) and it seems that this is the second in a series, will i be able to understand it?

Yes, they're all self-contained adventures. If you know the set-up (which can be gleaned from the Radio Times or Other TV Magazines Which Are Available) it will be no problem.

Bum, I forgot all about it! Maybe they'll both be repeated!

I really enjoyed this. Hadn't seen the first one but want to now!

I didn't think much of it at all. I don't like her 'I'm a feisty, brave female' character that then runs sobbing to the boys house when the going gets tough.

And they killed her dog and her lover. Too miserable for Christmas...!

Lol strangely I found it much sadder when the dog died.

I didn't like it much - is it a children's book originally? Thought the storyline was really simplistic and predictable. Didn't like all the moralising in it either - really heavy handed and clunky.
