@WeAreTheHeroes - I think we're both (sort of) right, the story seems to have got slightly mangled over the years. Apparently the phone thing was when she was about 8-9, then the JR aunt-intro thing was aged about 11. She got a manager and got signed after that.

The MW clues were so much better thought out than other ones, because it has been clear it is her from quite early on.
