Just finished working our way through this with DS 1 (11) and DS2 (8). We're all currently trapped in the house with covid and it's left a big gap in our lives (we didn't watch all 7 seasons while isolating!).

What do you watch that the whole family enjoys

If you haven't watched Malcolm in Middle you totally should by the way, it's awesome

We have watched Big Bang theory, friends, how I met your mother, outnumbered, superstore, full house, fuller house young sheldon and various box sets on Disney plus (boy meets world, girl meets world). We tend to have a box set on the go which we watch as a family (there is me, ds16 and dd13) some of those may be a bit grown up for your dc but most will be absolutely fine

If you like that then try The Middle. It’s along the same lines and very funny

AllYouCanEatBrestaurant · 28/01/2022 19:51

The middle and Fresh Prince spring to mind.

Bagelsandbrie · 28/01/2022 19:52

Ds aged 9 (nearly 10) has enjoyed stranger things, cobra Kai and motherland with us. Yep a few “dodgy” bits here and there but it’s been okay with us. He’s now working his way through Malcolm in the middle funny enough …..!

Young Sheldon is good to enjoy as a family.

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 28/01/2022 19:53

some great suggestions, thank you!

Ghosts is a crowd pleaser in our house.

Riverlee · 28/01/2022 19:57

We watch
Death in Paradise
Big Bang Theory and Little Sheldon.

The Goldberg’s remind me a lot of Malcolm in the Middle. We really enjoy it.

Shakespeare and Hathaway is also good.

‘Race across the World’ is good family viewing. There’s been two series so far.

sunshineandshowers40 · 28/01/2022 19:57

I have just watched this with my DC. The middle is also great.

XelaM · 28/01/2022 20:18

Parenthood (Tv series). It's sooo good

XelaM · 28/01/2022 20:20

Modern Family

KnobJockey · 28/01/2022 20:21

Ghosts is great family viewing

grafittiartist · 28/01/2022 20:28

We all enjoyed The Goldbergs

breakdown19 · 28/01/2022 20:32

Superstore?

Charleymouse · 28/01/2022 20:37

Second the suggestion of The Middle.
Also:
Everybody Hates Chris
Modern Family
Broken Skull Challenge
Survivor

My youngest enjoys Death In Paradise but it can be a bit scary for younger ones.

NatashaBedwouldbenice · 28/01/2022 22:55

The Wonder Years?

FayKnights · 28/01/2022 22:59

Modern Family!

girafferafferaffe · 28/01/2022 23:05

The middle
The goldbergs

boatyardblues · 28/01/2022 23:10

@MrsGinnyM

Ghosts is a crowd pleaser in our house.
Same here, and their Yonderland series on Sky (if you have it).

Nailed It! (disastrous) baking show on Netflix raised a lot of laughs around your eldest’s age.

DailyWord · 28/01/2022 23:13

Agree with the Everybody Hates Chris suggestion. We’ve just discovered it and it’s amazing

Confusedteacher · 28/01/2022 23:16

Definitely Modern Family and Superstore, my DD11 absolutely loves them! Also Brooklyn 99, but not for the 8yo

XiCi · 28/01/2022 23:40

Absolutely loved Malcolm in the middle. Watched it as a young adult and haven't revisited it so thanks for the reminder as dd would love it. Previous things we've enjoyed together are Modern Family, Life in Pieces, Grace and Frankie, Schitts Creek and The Good Place

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 29/01/2022 09:48

ooh, DH and I loved the good place - i'd really like an opportunity to watch it again. I think my 11 year old would really get it

Another vote for Ghosts! Perfect family TV especially if they like Horrible Histories!
