I've just finished reading the book and have serious doubts if I will watch this on iPlayer now: mostly due to the way in which the female characters were written. There was something about their narrative that I found very uncomfortable. Let's just say I wasn't surprised to discover the author was a man (the book was a surprise gift & I hadn't heard of it before). Has anyone seen it and want to discuss?
