Back in time for the factory

Watching this now about a group of modern women going back in time to a clothes factory in the Welsh Valleys in 1968. One shocking statistic: 85% of clothes were made in the UK in 1968. Now its just 8%!
I remember when these factories closed in the 80's and production was moved to China. What a shame.

Oh is it on iplayer? I remember that first time it was on. Really stark see how women out all day and expected come home go straight into cook clean mode and man went down pub!

BBC2 Wales. Maybe on iplayer.
Yes it was shocking to see the women slogging at work and at home while the men sat on the sofa with fag and newspaper! I was a child in the sixties and it was accepted that's just the way it was.
Always thought it was unfair seeing my mum doing all the domestic work. It seemed like such a life of drudgery.
Maybe that's why I never got married!
Went to uni in the 80's and been self employed ever since.

I loved this when it was in a few years ago. I think I read at the time that M&S made all their clothes in the UK until the late 90s.
