The contestant is driving me mad!!

I love it! Sometimes the celeb contestants get things bonkersly wrong even in their "specialist subjects" and other times famously daft Celebs do really well - it's insane!

If you want to see thick celebs watch The Weakest Link. Usually really easy questions and yet they don't know the answers.

I think it’s had it’s day. In lockdown when MM invented the game it was fun. Slightly bonkers but entertaining. Because no one was working much they got some brilliant celebs. It was a bit of fun and cheered us up. Now time has moved on I think it needs to go. It’s almost becoming a serious game show. MM isn’t as funny as he was.

Dermot O'Leary is surprisingly smart, studied WW2 history or something at uni it was his specialist subject on one show.

Some of the others are simply awful, but no where near as bad as Patsy Kensit on Richard Osmans House of Games, she didn't seem to understand how the game worked and gave up even pressing her buzzer halfway through the week. Their agents aren't doing them any favours booking them on these shows.

God, yes that was embarrassing! HoG only works when all the contestants are engaged and having fun.

I still like ‘The Wheel’, on the whole, but did keep imagining the contestant mentioned by pp was doing a manic windmill safety demo before take off

I was looking for a thread on this yesterday just to see what people were saying about the lady in pink. There aren't many people that I find so unbearable that I can't even tolerate for the TV to be on in the background when they're on, but she was one. Everything about her was pure nails down a blackboard.

Apart from her though I don't mind the show. I've only ever seen it three times though so I suppose it could wear thin after a while. The questions don't seem to require people to be bright - it's more about random general knowledge than anything.

Judi Love annoyed me. Thick but thinking it was hilarious she was so stupid.

Scooby Doo an Alsation! Saying well because he is a cartoon you can't tell what breed he is. Before the answers even came up me and DH both said Great Dane

mydogisthebest - I must have missed that (maybe it's when the annoying woman was the contestant when I had to switch over), but yes Judi Love is definitely thick and annoying. Wasn't she on it last week too and was the same?

Oh god. That lady in pink was super annoying.
The chap who won was annoying too but in comparison to the others, he turned out to he the least irritating

These quiz shows audition the contestants. They always choose the thick and extrovert people. If they have a sob story, even better

Some of the ‘celebs’ are awful. Even I knew about Scooby Doo and I’m no dog or cartoon expert!
They def choose contestants for their sob stories, dh thinks I’d be good on there with the questions, but I’m not going on TV and i have no sob story (not where money is concerned anyway)?
