Bringing up Bates new season cancelled

I discovered this series about a US fundamentalist family with 19 kids in the first lockdown and enjoyed it. I couldn't watch past about season 6 as it moved to Amazon prime which I can't get on my old TV and didn't want to watch it on my phone. I read today that they'd filmed season 11 which was due to be broadcast next month but it's now been pulled. I guessed there must be something that had come to light for them to have abruptly cancelled such a popular show and it seems that one of them shared a video to social media of the family playing charades. One of them did a shooting motion to show hunting and one of the boys called out "George Floyd". So offensive. I can see why it's been pulled.

They are also part of an awful cult (IBLP). Gil is on the board and it is suspected that he helped cover for Bill Gothard. They were good friends with the Duggars so Josh Duggar's CSAM conviction has not helped their image. There is also a documentary being made about the Bates, Duggars and other fundamentalists which I suspect has spooked the network/ advertisers. Hopefully the IBLP will be exposed and the women and children can escape this awful cult.

It doesn't reflect well on them that the person who said it knew it would be considered an acceptable joke to make by the family.

apparently it was either Nathan or trace that said it and I think Erin or Carlin shared the video. Not the first time it’s been heard about racism. See if you can find United bates of America on YouTube. They are like best friends with the Duggar’s. I enjoy Alyssa and Erin’s content but I’m bored of Carlin and josie. Tori doesn’t post as she is very in the fundie well as well michaela. Rumours that Gil and Kelly are on the rocks. Watch 14 kids and counting as the duggars was a pretty interest watch
