The Bay - the sixth form aged actor

Just started it this morning and I’m sorry but, the guy playing the sixth former looks about 30 !

I think him being deaf will be part of the story. The policewoman who can sign a bit will get some vital information from him.

My vote is she'll 'overhear' the angry brother signing something to him, not realising she can sign :)

@1001566210 him being deaf has no relevance on the story at all which makes his casting even more ridiculous. I have watched the whole series

This has been bugging me too! Casting a genuinely deaf actor seems to have been the deciding factor but every time he's on screen all I can think is how old he looks. In fact the oldest brother looks years younger than the other two.
Apart from that I'm enjoying it and have forgotten so much about seasons 1 and 2 that I don’t miss the lead from them!
