Euphoria Season 2

I know, technically aimed at young adults but has anyone watched yet?

It's not a scene I recognise from living in the UK and suspect it's extremes of stereotypes in the US but the first episode was very...punchy.

I loved it, somehow it felt like the show had definitely grown.

Ep 7 has given me cause for worry - even though it was utterly absurd. Seriously, how many tens of thousands of dollars would that play have cost to put on??

Yessss. I want to talk about Euphoria so badly but I don't know anyone that watches it. I'm obsessed. I've loved every episode this series. Does anyone else think that the mum Maddie babysits for is filming her? It was the 'smile, you're on camera' sticker behind her head in the last episode before Nate threatened her that made me wonder. Also the 'Nate at the gym' part of the play might be the best thing I've seen for ages.

I guess it's following the pattern of the last episode having a surreal edge. I love the whole series, I've binged season 1 & 2, I love the way it looks and the music, and zendaya is so good at playing rue, she is such a sympathetic character despite making such bad decisions all the time, she seems so vulnerable.

I’m too worried about Fez to race towards today’s (or tomorrow’s episode. No, Station 11 today, Euphoria tomorrow.) But I have plenty of Gin to soften any blows.

I loved rue's mum conversation about prioritising gia, so heartbreaking and Rue knows she has to accept that.

Yes didn't they zoom into the alarm clock in the dressing room when Maddie was trying on her dresses and there was a hidden camera ?

I was on another site discussing Euphoria and somebody mentioned the parallels between Euphoria & the film A Requiem For a Dream. I personally wouldn't ever watch that film based upon the trailers & reviews it's a bit too much for my palate. Has anyone else seen it?

I was really disappointed with the last episode (apart from the bits with Ash in) I feel like there needed to be more wrapped up with the Nate/Cassie/Maddie scenario.

Same, and I will never ever watch requiem again, horrible film that affected me for ages.

I felt like it was such an anti-climax. It was lost in all the Rue running about action.

I definitely agree that Euphoria is brilliant. I'm relieved at least two people agree that Euphoria is much better than A Requium for a Dream. Thankyou.

Yeah they could have done a lot in the time it took to show that song..I think the director just does what he wants and knows everyone will still watch it!

I take back my earlier comment - because that play clearly cost hundreds, not tens, of thousands of $$$ to stage. Fun, though!
