Help me remember an 80s tv show...

So it was definitely 80s and the main character was a girl who travelled through a tunnel on a boat and was transported back in time...?

I remember loving it but can't really remember the storyline other than that....

Any ideas...?

Was going to say Moondial, then read the bit about the boat. So probably not that.

This definitely sounds like "The Secret World of Polly Flint". It was one of my favourite books as a child and was adapted for a TV series in the 80s.

I loved all those 80s tv shows, Choky, The children of Greene Knowe, Moondial etc... they were so spooky though some of them!

Thanks for reminding me of the TV show! I read the book with my 10 year old this year and now we have started watching it on YouTube too. I agree- all those old series were just great.
