The Apprentice is back! 6th January 2022

I just thought I'd post this for anyone else who's really missed it since the last series in 2019. I've watched every episode since it began and I'd started to wonder if there'd ever be another series.

Claude won't be appearing for medical reasons - Tim Campbell who won series 1 will be taking his place - but Karren will be back.

If anyone has any 'teasers' for the new series (not actual spoilers though) please do post them here.

Oh I love the apprentice I missed the last season so I really need my fix! I think Tim will make a good addition.

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing Tim again - though in my head he still looked like he did in series one so I will have to get used to Tim in his 40s!

I'm disappointed Claude won't be there - he's the best thing about it.

It has one of the best boardroom fails I’ve seen on any series anywhere. It’ll be really obvious when you get to it.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone talking about it but they did the classic bbc thing of hiding it at 11pm on a Monday!
Lord sugar is the boss. Ross noble is the only person I’d heard of in it but very watchable.

It had completely passed me by, PurpleDaisies - I'm usually in bed by 11pm on a Monday. It will be something to watch over Christmas, though.

I only spotted it when I was searching for something else on the sky box!

Maybe there’ll be more of an emphasis on setting up online businesses, or food delivery or that sort of thing.

I always enjoy the watch-along threads on here. I'm hoping there'll be a candidate I can really root for this time.

I'm pretty sure they normally film over the summer months (you can tell when lord sugar calls at 5.05am and they have to be ready in 10 seconds and its already starting to get light outside) when things were relatively "normal"

Yes, and it's usually fine weather when they are out and about flogging sandwiches or ice-cream.

Claude had an accident on his ebike

So excited for this season; love it every year! Started watching the oz one but found it a bit hard to get into.. all the celebrities that I had no clue who they were all vying for attention because they are “famous”

Oh, good to hear Claude's indisposition is likely to be temporary.

I was trying to remember whether Tim had ever been one of the interviewers - that's where Claude first appeared. I can't remember seeing Tim since series one.

I read an article and Claude said he was fine now, had the accident shortly before filming started and then had to recover; but he’ll be back next series.

Ooh, good to hear a series is on the cards for 2023 as well!
