SpawnChorus · 18/12/2007 15:33

I was going to start a thread about this.

Oh it was so beautifully filmed, and such a moving story. I cried too. First time I've cried in aaaages.

sfxmum · 18/12/2007 19:59

you should also watch 'The Devil's backbone'

also moving if no so visually amazing

santaslittlepeatbogelf · 18/12/2007 20:01

Pan's L a fantastic film! We rented it on dvd the other night, I cried and was so engrossed that I was desperate to know whether she REALLY went to fairyland to be with her father and mother ...

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 18/12/2007 20:02

I thought it was interesting and quite beautiful in places, but let itself down by being unnecessarily violent.

cheechymunchy · 18/12/2007 20:05

Awesome film. DH has bought it for me for Christmas and it's all I can do to stop myself ripping the wrapping off! Have to admit man with eyes in hands is SCARY!!!!

santaslittlepeatbogelf · 18/12/2007 20:08

yup, really nightmare-ish type scary. And she - the girl - is amazing. Yes, it was violent, but I thought justified giving the setting - horrid, violent times. Must look at Devil's Backbone

pagwatch · 18/12/2007 20:23

I have it on DVD but it always makes me cry.
Fantastic film. So so sad.
