I couldn't find a thread about this.

Anyone watched it?

I've got 1 episode to go. Bloody (literally) brilliant

Oh not watched it but have noticed it.
I’m tempted now(if kids ever go to sleep 😩) What’s good about it ? Is it a doc or drama ?

Asi1 · 06/12/2021 21:21

Binged watched. Better than l expected, also was reminded how good of an actor Wesley Snipes is.

Bimblybomeyelash · 06/12/2021 21:22

I enjoyed this. But I wasn’t surprised by the turn of events!

Is this to be a spoiler free thread?

Mooserp · 07/12/2021 13:19

Spoiler free!

I was surprised how good it was, good acting and storyline. I didn't predict any of it.

It's a drama / crime thriller with Kevin Hart playing a successful comedian, something goes wrong after a night out and it's about what happens next.

Don't want to give too much away.

It's very violent in parts, in case that puts you off.

I loved this too!

Mooserp · 07/12/2021 13:29

Ooh I just saw that Billy Zane played Ari. Didn't recognise him at all

Thanks, I will check it out. I saw Kevin Hart and assumed it was a comedy.

BewareTheLibrarians · 07/12/2021 13:47

I watched this last week and thought it was good (but so stressful to watch. All the bad decisions!) Didn't see the ending coming.

And I did not notice that Billy Zane was Ari! Shock

It was good to see Wesley Snipes again, but did anyone else keep doubting it was him as hasn't really aged enough? He's 60 but he doesn't look it!

Mooserp · 07/12/2021 14:08

haha! Yes I thought the same and even doubted myself when I was telling someone about it and said he was in it.

I thought it was mediocre. Not terrible but not good either. It was so obvious from the first episode what was going on and the story was rushed and ridiculous. Actually, now I give it more thought, it was quite shit.

haha! I appreciate your review. I was obviously not switched on enough to work out what was happening.

I like ridiculous Wink

I'm a few episodes in and really enjoying it. I have a sense of what the "twist" is but I'm finding it really watchable.

hopeishere · 07/12/2021 17:10

We enjoyed it. It was a bit predictable but good. Knew I knew Ari from somewhere- those eyes!

Finals1234 · 07/12/2021 17:14

I loved this, Kevin Hart was very good and it was lovely to see Wesley Snipes back on the screen, brilliant acting from him.

It was violent, but also quite ridiculous, in a good way! Really enjoyed it, and it wasn't too long either.

Thecurliestwurly · 09/12/2021 22:33

I thought it was good, but not amazing. The plot was predictable. I.thought it was a good idea and interesting to see the other side of fame. It was well paced for me too and agree with pp with it not being too long.

I got the impression you were supposed to sympathise with the lead character and the predicament he found himself in, but I thought he was a bit of a narcissist. I think that's what one of the lines in the final scenes was alluding to. (Hope that doesn't give too much away).
