New thread! Can't believe we filled that so quickly!

You're not thick MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers pleased to see you here! Have you been enjoying Doctors recently?

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 02/12/2021 16:51

I haven't seen today's yet so will watch that tomorrow. The only thing I'm not enjoying is Valerie's wedding. If in a few weeks/months/years she meets a man who she wants to marry, would she have to divorce herself? 🤔

smallandimperfectlyformed · 02/12/2021 16:54

No mention at all of the wedding in today's episode so don't worry about it!

Raahh · 02/12/2021 17:02

I'm not sure the self marriage thing is legally binding, so hopefully Val won't have to divorce herself at any point.

Though knowing Val, she'd love the drama of that, so maybe she would. Split her belongings 50/50...with herself. Grin.

Idolovetrees · 02/12/2021 19:31

If I were Karen I'd leave Rob the way he's behaving. Maybe that will make him see but by then it may be too late....

Thank you all for posting this week, we have got restricted TV access ATM so I haven't watched all week. DH has cancelled Sky but not thought about what we do instead, he had forgotten we don't have an aerial, or a smart tv. So our options currently are watching live only channels 1-5 on the sky box which they want back, or Iplayer through the xbox which is a right palava or watch on a phone/tablet. Hoping to get properly reconnected soon.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 03/12/2021 12:40

Ooh that sounds really annoying ExquisitelyDecorated would it maybe be possible for you guys to get a Now TV stick? I think mine cost about £20 - maybe £30. I pay a monthly fee for the entertainment package but I have access to iplayer, the ITV hub, all 4 and Channel 5 as well for free

ExquisitelyDecorated · 03/12/2021 15:35

We had NowTV last time we had a break from Sky so that's certainly a possibility. At the time we found it annoying that we couldn't record things but that's not so much of an issue now as streaming services have improved. Also looking at BT TV as you can switch sport on and off like you can with Now, also we have Disney+ and Britbox and can watch those through it, not sure if you can with Now and it's a faff with the xbox. We have BT broadband so there might be some deals. Wish DH had looked into it before cancelling Sky though.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 03/12/2021 15:42

You can't get Britbox with Now unfortunately and you can't record but programmes stay online for quite a while. My sister has BT TV and hasn't been impressed but she is quite unwell at the moment and may have got the instructions wrong. Bloody irritating when your husband decides to make big household decisions without you isn't it?!!

ExquisitelyDecorated · 03/12/2021 17:17

Well, that's the annoying thing, he leaves virtually all the house and children admin to me, the Sky contract and his own car insurance/tax are about all he does so I wasn't really expecting this. He normally haggles Sky back down at the end of the contract but he tried that and it was still a huge amount so he said no, I think he was expecting them to call again with a better offer.

ExquisitelyDecorated · 05/12/2021 18:04

And we're back. He phoned Sky up again and managed to haggle them down to being considerably cheaper than BT and not much more than Now so we are reconnected.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 05/12/2021 18:56

Ooh I'm glad you got it back ExquisitelyDecorated! Now you can watch Doctors with no bother

KilledByWitches · 06/12/2021 13:35

Welcome back @ExquisitelyDecorated

Luca stamping his feet a bit today

Ooh awkward!

KilledByWitches · 06/12/2021 13:54

Surely if that were to happen in real life all those protesting would be kicked off the practice books. Nothing to complain about then.

I think calling the police might be justified

KilledByWitches · 06/12/2021 14:00

Here's Al to save the day 😂

Hello - long time since I've been here, I stopped watching in the first lockdown, and never went back. But this thread is making me smile. Maybe I'll just post and not watch. So Val's marrying herself - why am I not surprised Xmas Grin

I believe Val is going to get cold feet about marrying herself as well....

I see that you might just reel me back in Wine How's Al doing ?

He tried online dating a few months back, fell for someone called 'Starbuck' who was into all the same genre's as he was etc. Didn't come as a shock when they met that Starbuck was a bloke 😂

I rather liked him today. Luca has been outed as being HIV Positive and Al gave the protestors outside the Mill both barrels.

OP posts:
Redshoeblueshoe · 06/12/2021 18:18

That sounds hilarious, especially as the clue is in the name Star BUCK
Is Rhuma still annoying ?

smallandimperfectlyformed · 06/12/2021 18:23

Rhuma's growing on me. She's still a bit sanctimonious but she's got a genuinely sweet friendship with Sid and she was kind to Valerie when the others were laughing at her.
