So I’m looking for something new to watch, preferably multiple seasons. Drama or comedy but nothing too graphic gory.

Things I like include:
Russian Doll
The Morning Show
The Office US
Schitts Creek
Kim’s Convenience
The Witcher
For All Mankind

Thanks in advance

I've recently watched Only Murders in the Building (Disney+) and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tulips15 · 14/11/2021 17:35

I just finished ' Maid' on netflix, really enjoyed

Twoweekcruise · 14/11/2021 19:14

I second Maid, I am on the last episode. Really liked it and am recommending it to friends.

NadiaVulvokov · 14/11/2021 19:16

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Maid but unfortunately DA is a bit close to the bone for the moment.

Have you tried workin' moms. That's quite funny with an occasional serious theme. I really enjoyed it.

Bixy · 14/11/2021 20:13

The Good Place. I love it, just started rewatching.

Modern Family is also a favourite of mine!

Life in Pieces was good. Shame it got cancelled.

doadeer · 14/11/2021 20:18

The Bold Ones
It's a bit like a modern SATC meets Devil Wears Prada but actually I got really into it!

doadeer · 14/11/2021 20:18

Sorry it's called the Bold Type*

doadeer · 14/11/2021 20:19

Virgin river
Ginny and Georgia

Chippymunks · 14/11/2021 20:20

Atypical
Wayne (there is violence but it’s brilliant)

LondonPainter · 14/11/2021 21:59

In my skin

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 14/11/2021 22:02

Oh I was going to suggest The morning Show but it's on your list.

Nine Perfect Strangers on Prime.

jay55 · 15/11/2021 08:28

The queens gambit
Dear white people
Grace and Frankie

pastabest · 15/11/2021 09:15

The Marvellous Mrs Maisel (prime)
This Is Us (Prime)
Good Girls (Netflix)
Greys Anatomy - lost track where this is now? Disney? Now TV Netflix?
Station 19 (as above)
Desperate Housewives, if you've not watched it before
Gossip Girl

The Good Wife (not available on subscription at the moment anywhere but might be one to watch out for if it comes back to Netflix)

languagelover96 · 15/11/2021 10:26

Death in Paradise

ElephantOfRisk · 15/11/2021 13:58

Offspring on Netflix

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 15/11/2021 14:01

Superstore (Netflix and itv4?)

IntermittentParps · 16/11/2021 16:17

I second The Queen's Gambit and The Good Wife.
Nine Perfect Strangers is a bit of a waste of your life IMO (just finished it). Big Little Lies was better but only the first season.

For short, funny but surprisingly touching, try Dead to Me (Netflix).
Also New Amsterdam if you like hospital stuff. VERY cheesy but good if you want some froth.

SandysMam · 16/11/2021 16:22

Ted Lasso is the best thing I have watched for ages Op, Jason Sudekis is lovely in it.

Babymamma192 · 16/11/2021 17:23

Heartland is good and lots of seasons so it's great to binge watch!
Also loved life in pieces great show!

NadiaVulvokov · 16/11/2021 17:41

@cloudjumper Just finished Only Murders in the Building, really enjoyed it so thanks for the recommendation. I liked the stylistic flourishes. It reminded me a little bit of Dollface in that respect, which I also really enjoyed. Hope there is a season 2.

Superstore
The Kampinsky Method
The Good Fight
Good Girls
Sex Education
Little Fires Everywhere
Guilt
The Last Kingdom
Versailles
Bridgerton (rubbish but enjoyable)

NadiaVulvokov · 17/11/2021 14:59

@brewanyone Tried to start working moms last night but gave up ten minutes into the pilot.

When she was late for her meeting and threw the note her assistant gave her into the bin it reminded me too much of a former colleague.

I loved outlaws on bbc recently, it's the first show I've binged for ages which is a shame as it's only 6 episodes!

NadiaVulvokov · 17/11/2021 18:09

@Bixy I loved the Good Place and Modern Family so I’ve got high hopes for Life in Pieces. I liked Zoe Lister-Jones a lot in Whitney and New Girl, she’s dry. I’m going to watch some tonight so fingers crossed.
