Brilliant .

Bit how brilliant was andie Mac do well!

Grey haired , looking beautiful at 63 but how evolved her acting is!

I saw her terribly wooden performance in 4 weddings ....

In this she was brilliant. And she looks amazing and natural at 63 , embracing grey hair while still looking amazing.

And maid - so real . An honest account on domestic abuse .

And her daughter in the film is her real daughter.

I've always been a huge fan of AMcD. She has won several golden globes (agree her role in FWAAF was problematic, for many reasons including script and characterization) but she's a good actress normally. And I have always thought she was so beautiful. Not typically Hollywood looks but natural and lovely. And agree she is aging beautifully too.

I actually think Andre M is still quite a shit actress. Her daughter is brilliant though in Maid.

Anyone reading the book? Its very different, maid was obviously loosely based on it.

Wait! If Andie MacDowell played the show Maid with her own actual daughter, does it mean the same daughter who was dating Shia LaBeouf when FKA Twigs broke the news about his domestic abuse. 🤔 the daughter then had to publicaly dump him becuase if she stayed it would be with an abuser. Fuck! This just blew my mind.

I agree. Very rare example of a famous person's offspring being more talented than their parent. Margaret Qualley is great here, but her mum is still mediocre at best.

I didn’t like Andi McDowell in maid at all, but not sure if that was because of not liking the character. I thought she was way over the top and a caricature.

The little girl was lovely . The whole show was too long and padded out.

I like the pace of it. It feels more realistic because it's done slowly. She gets reeled back in over a period of time. It wouldn't be believable if it happened quickly. As a viewer I could see what was going to happen but she didn't see the abuse creeping back up again until it was too late. I haven't seen all of it yet and dread how it's going to end.
