Okay, so i've just started watching Season 2.

Quite enjoyed the first season and was hoping i'd get more into it, but i've quickly got fed up with it. For all the potential of the show, for one thing i'm really fed up of the pointless and tacky, noisy sex scenes which just pop in from nowhere every episode which often add nothing to the plot and are just there for titillation.

Is this show worth sticking with?

Yes I’d say so and it has a fantastic ending😥
I know what you mean about sex scenes -I don’t even like seeing sloppy kissing I just do the ‘ten seconds skip’ until it resumes to normal everyday activities 😂 it’s all the fake panting etc, just seems so daft and always unnecessary (but im an old husk) 😂😂

All anyone seems to do on this show is shag (usually very loudly).

When it gets away from that it has been really good up to now.

Yes, it's worth sticking with and has a brilliant ending. From memory the amount of sex scenes does dwindle.

As far as I remember it seems to stop and actually get on with the story (but like I said - I FFWD it) I’d suggest the same tactic 😂

The sex does dwindle, I can't remember when she's pregnant in real life, S2 or 3 but when she is the nudity calms down a bit. Definitely worth sticking with.

It's definitely worth it - it's a great series.

She is pregnant during series 5. Far from fake, I suspect reality.

I just fast forwarded through the sex scenes

It is so good. Just gets better and better (apart from season 5 which I didn't love for some reason.) I'm rewatching the final season just now

I loved it - such a good insight into sleeper agents/Cold War such an underrated series and I love Matthew Rhys
i felt so sad for the chap that they gave the hemorrhagic virus to and that beautiful girl that got assassinated (cant remember her name) the scene was heartbreaking as was the ending

They were highly trained agents (you saw the back stories how the KGB trained them ) I think the children were there to complete the picture of the ‘perfect’ family, rather than being planned and loved and wanted, they were no doubt told to have a family in order to fit in, I think the children in the series were lovely and it was heartbreaking really, especially the ending
It’s very sad actually there are some online blogs of real children in that situation

A great series, can't believe I only discovered it recently. Stick with it. The sex is uncomfortable but the plots and characters are great.

I absolutely loved it and not just for Matthew Rhys. Do stick with it. You get more and more involved with the characters and even get almost used to the ridiculous wigs.

I was bereft when it ended, to be honest.

It made me read up about real-life agents who were less good-looking but very interesting.

Such a good series! For me, it's one of the best performances by Margot Martindale. Also loved watching Martha's story arc unfold.

The disguises always made me chuckle. Consisting of a terrible perm wig, massive glasses and porn mustaches.

Definitely worth sticking with it, And remember, there have been occasions where these families have been unmasked and deported to Russia. America claims to know about most of them and just watch them and keep them in reserve until they want to do a tit for tat with Russia.
In the latest case, the couple were deported with their two sons who had been born in Canada and brought up in America and had no idea their parents were spies. They didn’t speak Russian but both Canada and America revoked their passports and they were left stranded in Russia.

I absolutely loved this series. It just got better and better. Was totally bereft when it finished.

Hehe see above post and Matthews wig when he was being edgy and getting the senators daughter fake passes (that was Ruthie from Ozark)
The wigs looked a bit like taxidermy I thought 😂sort of dead and dusty looking
But Kerri looked gorgeous in whatever wig she had

I came to it late, but I loved it. Sometimes it was so tense I could hardly bear to watch. The characters were really compelling and the plot was absolutely gripping. Used to find myself worrying about poor Stan! Surprised it is not more popular.

I watched the first two series and got fed up of it! We found it so slow in places!

It's worth it to get to the end.
