Does anyone have the Formula 1 App? Is it any good?

And if so what do you think? Can you actually screen live races or is it just commentary?

I've seen it advertised for £20 for the year and have read the website but still can't work it out.

We currently have Netflix and Amazon and that is the only sport we want to watch.

If you mean the one to stream the races, you can't get it in the UK because Sky have the rights to F1.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. I'd like to watch but it's not worth a Sky subscription.

All you get on the app is the live timing stuff, which you can get for free on the BBC F1 site and elsewhere anyway.

Now TV does a cheaper package which includes F1 so you don't have to have Sky

I'm not sure Now TV are doing the F1 pass anymore. They used to but I don't think they did this year. C4 do the highlights and at least the British Grand Prix live. Otherwise you'll have to buy the passes each race weekend or buy monthly ones. They do sometimes offer deals and things.

You can listen live on BBC radio 5 live or sometimes 5 live extra, which isn't ideal but it's better than nothing.

I've also been told you can get an 8 month now TV sports mobile membership for a tenner, so you can watch on your phone. I've not looked into that though. He said it was a one off payment, but I'm not sure if that's right. Might be worth looking into.
