Is sky cinema worth it?

As per the title,

If you pay for Sky cinema do you think it’s worth the additional cost?

Not worth it if you have other streaming services like Amazon prime or Netflix. Occasionally a film comes into sky first but you can pay for it as a one off.
How much extra a month is sky cinema now?

JacquelineCarlyle · 31/10/2021 12:16

Not worth it at all, especially if you have another streaming platform. We've just cancelled ours.

ButYouGottaHaveASkillJeff · 31/10/2021 13:22

I don't think it's worth it. There's never anything I want to watch. Went to cancel it yesterday and I got sucked in for another two months for £3 a month. Will do for the chrimbo films but then I'll cancel again.

Bagelsandbrie · 31/10/2021 13:23

Not worth it at all. Netflix and prime are enough and then if there’s a particular film we want to see you can usually rent it or buy it through prime as a one off.

I think the movie choices are much better than Amazon or Netflix. They have loads on demand too. Movies do move around the different services though, so it’s no guarantee. Touchstone movies (all my favourite 80s movies!) are all on Disney +.

rosegoldwatcher · 31/10/2021 13:29

Not worth the money, in my experience. Maybe 3/4 new films weekly on the Premiere section (when we had it.) The other channels regurgitate older films.
I would not be without Netflix, however!

Lennybenny · 31/10/2021 13:46

No. I only ever get it on a deal. I won't redo it and Disney+ and Netflix are much better imo. You could do Now tv and have a cinema pass, it's cheaper and they do a lot of deals. When you cancel they tend to offer a % off to get you to stay.

No

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 31/10/2021 13:53

I get it on Now TV a couple of times a year, normally around school holidays so we have time to watch them, they often email you with offer codes too. I wouldn't add it to a Sky packaged to be tied in for X number of months though.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 04/11/2021 01:17

I think we pay a fiver a month for it, we probably watch a good film per month and I usually watch a couple of rom coms. It's particularly not worth it at the moment as there are so few new films.

Yogaandcocoa · 04/11/2021 04:28

I pay £5 a month and it's worth that if you watch it but I barely watch it

southeastdweller · 04/11/2021 08:35

Agree with many others. Only worth it if you can get a deal for it, Disney+, Netflix and Prime have a better selection. £5 a month is about right, no more.
