DC is a big fan of the show. Currently watching old episodes back to back and we've just got to the Norman the Conqueror parody of Gangnam Style. Does anyone know what castle(s) this was filmed at? Looks like somewhere for us to visit, if open to the public.

They use a lot of national trust properties.
Hughenden manor was used for a lot of different stuff. If memory serves me right the library was used for a church hill song.
Chiltern open air museum is another that’s been used a lot
Duxford museum has been used

I’m sure there’s more I’ve recognised

Is the castle warwick castle?
Some bits of it look reminiscent of it.

If you want a good castle though. Hever castles a beauty. With obviously lots of Tudor henry 8th stuff to learn about.

Highly recommend the Horrible Histories Thames Tour!
Kids loved it and I found it really interesting too!

There’s a HH maze at Warwick castle

Caerphilly Castle is great too, not sure if it’s a HH location

Thanks for all the suggestions. Going to have to watch HH again and pull up some images of the various castles to compare!

Pretty sure I've spotted Osterley Park in a few episodes!

Ham House featured in a song or two.

It's Allington Castle near Maidstone. It isn't open to the public unfortunately, only weddings and as a film location. It pops up in quite a few Horrible Histories episodes.
