Having tried unsuccessfully to find it on DVD years ago, I was delighted to find the complete 5 series are now on You Tube (and Britbox I believe).

I’ve already binged the first three series and it’s made me so nostalgic. I know so many lines and chuckle at the fashion, the technology (dial up modem for the one computer they use about twice), brick-like mobile phones. We used to tape the 25 minute episodes at the end of a 3hr VHS tape after a film 😂

Still fresh and funny though, I still have a crush on Spike and I’m 47 now!

I loved this! I wanted to be a journalist and my role model was Linda (and Holly Hunter in Broadcast News).

Had a crush on Spike too.

Lynda

Didn't realise Press Gang was an early Steven Moffat production.

Having done a bit (slightly obsessive amount) of Googling, Bill Moffat, a headteacher, came up with the idea and then suggested his son might be able to write it. The rest is history.

A lot of early talent there. And some who seemed good that really went on to do little else.

I have it on dvd, really must finish it!

And yes a big crush on spike who I met as games master a few years later. He now looks his age! (Well my age) so have less of a crush now but doing great as a director.

I loved this!!!!

It was fantastic and a firm favourite of mine. It was groundbreaking, quality children’s tv which dealt with some fairly tricky themes.

I wondered the other day if children get quality tv made for them these days?

I too had a huge Spike crush and for sixth form sported short skirts with tights, jacket and a shirt a la Lynda Day. I still privately have a list of people who are K.D’s!

Awe man, I loved Spike. Total teen crush.

My dh and I were reminiscing about 80's/90's sitcoms last night. There were so many of them.

Compared to what we have now anyway.

Clearly a talented family!

Yes, over the years I've seen some of the 'Gang' in other shows/films, but others seem to have vanished. I thought the actor who played Colin was very talented. He was in a film shortly afterwards, but not seen him in much else.

I too rocked black tights and short floral skirts at college, such was Lynda's influence!
