Buying the kids a toy or game every timw they go out ? They need a psychologist not Alex and Steph, .

Do they say how much their monthly income/outgoings are in this version? Or what debt they’ve got. Find it interesting they never have Joe Bloggs on who earns minimum wage and lives within their means and they spend what they have on x y z and want to save £s

Yeah I thought today’s family must be pretty well off! Especially when they got really snobby re the idea of buying second hand!

I find the middle class families rather boring to watch! Would love to see them try and save money for a family that’s already on a much tighter budget!

he had no motivation to wear anything that didnt have a designer label on , his young lad wasnt as bothered however this will no doubt be indoctrinated into their kids by the time they leave home

I have seen this pair of numpties before, it must have been a repeat. I don't know what was worse, the thicko father with his "has to be Prada" attitude, or the thicko mother with the "can't wear the same outfit twice" and her epiphany that you can - gasp - wear the same skirt with different tops!

He is a Building Merchant Supplier and she is a sahm. Unless its his business I don't understand where their money comes from. The house was quite dated so you can see the money probably all goes on clothes and "things"

I like this programme but would like to see a realistic picture of family finance. So a couple on an average family income (not a mumsnet income!!) and see what they owe, how they spend and how they can save.
They never go into details.
Maybe no one would agree to go on it if they did
