Who else is looking forward to the return of Dexter?

I'm not sure we can discuss the revival without giving away spoilers of the series finale so if you're still in the dark, leave now!

Delighted that Jennifer Carpenter is cast, and wondering whether she'll have a Harry style role, talking from beyond the grave only in Dexter's head. I'd like to think she'll be saying "Why the fuck did you dump me in the ocean with all your victims? I deserved a proper funeral!"

Due to air in the US on Nov 7th and in the UK on Sky Atlantic and Now. I think it's the same date.

I've not watched it yet (waiting to watch it with the DCs) but found a trailer.

OMG I am properly excited about this. One of my favourite all time series and strangely started watching it this week as been isolating with covid!

yes, I agree, it was just a ridiculous plot path to go down wasn't it?

I was only going to watch a couple of seasons until I'm out of isolation but I may rewatch the whole lot as I can't remember half of it.

I know! It's like a Hallmark Christmas movie (but with a lovable serial killer twist!)

Ooooo exciting, it was so long ago I watched it though, was the last season when he went and changed his identity and disappeared? or have I missed new seasons?

At the very end of the last season he was going to run away to Argentina with Hannah McKay and Harrison but it all went tits up and he faked his own death.

The final shot was of him up north working as a lumberjack type guy in total isolation.

So what did we all think?

I liked it! I missed Miami but at least up north it was snowy and Christmasy. I liked the vibe. I was worried it would be cold and grey and depressing.

How did Harrison find him? That's concerning isn't it?

I'm happy with Deb being his Harry replacement but I wish we'd seen more of her.

The girl shagging that looser - who was her Dad? She said "Please don't tell my dad."

The minute that guy walked into the gun store I knew he was gonna end up fish food.

Although I did wonder where he would dump him with no boat. But he was sloppy.

I enjoyed it, but I miss Miami :(

When he was listing "people who got close and died" I completely forgot that LaGuerta was killed! And I only rewatched it about a month ago 🙄 I had to google to remember why she had died!

I'll need to Google as well as I can't remember. Probably because I blanked the last season from my mind
