Recently found on catch up. How is anyone supposed to win these? The rules seem to be they have make contact with family and friends. But soon as they do they ping the phone and find them or have actually recordings of conversation “pick me up at Asda at 6pm” You can’t win can you? You also can’t just spent a month camping in Wilds as you have make contact. Please someone explain !

I stopped watching after the Birmingham one because it was nigh impossible to win it as there was only 1 route in and out and only 1 way to pick up. At least when they were sea pickups people could get there via different routes.

1st series was good, after that it got a bit contrived, sure they've got to make it entertaining, but some of the framing and the supposed surveillance methods they do is just laughable. It's so obvious when people are told to do something by the producers as well, so it just ruins any immersion in the basis of the show.

1st series was good, leave from your own house at the drop of a hat and go your own way for 30 days with lets says less obvious manipulation or rules by the producers, it soon degenerated into "we're going to drop you into the middle of the busiest city we can find, all the hunters are going to be only about 5 miles away, we're going to give the command centre instant access to all public facing CCTV within a 100 mile radius, good luck".

There's a new series coming soon I'd imagine, because applications closed recently, I started entering an application a few years back then gave up as I realised I'd probably be told exactly what to do with very little agency or say in the matter, so would just be made to look like all the other idiots by Channel 4, I still get the emails asking me to complete an application.

Havnt seen end yet didn’t know had all get to certain trap point… It’s not going do so well is it. Does soemone always win? A lot of roughing it around in tents for month if hardly anyone wins.

I loved the first series when at least the fixes were less obvious, the second series was too obviously faked and haven't bothered since. I would love it if they actually did a 'real' series, eg for starters the contestants just doing their own video clips instead of having a frigging camera crew each. I also loved the 1 hour count down to leaving in the first series, and the way they spent more time on the detail of how they got by rather than setting up ridiculous 'dramatic' episodes of being caught.

It all makes me think it must be bloody easy to disappear in the UK if it has yo be so heavily fixed.

It started off being brilliant, the last one though, they are making it pretty impossible to win. The one where the evacuation point was in a busy city multi storey carpark, that was so wrong, how the hell could anyone get away from there. I'll watch the celeb one, but yeah, it's not as gritty or as good as the first couple of seasons.
