To add, I was not born in 1980, but in my head the late seventies are about twenty years ago, 2000 was "a few years ago" and I am not quite sure if 2020 or 2021 actually happened!

She's 13. I was 13 in 1980, so 41 years before that was 1939, which really was the olden days to me. And now I feel even older.

As a child of the 80s the 60s were definitely the 'olden days' and bear in mind that the 80s were as close to World War Two as we are now to the 80s (both a 40 year gap)
