DS (age 3, so the perfect age for anything poo related) has just watched it and thought it was the funniest thing ever

oh bollocks I promised to show ds3 this episode, but he's at nursery and ds1 is home (we're not allowed to put on cbeebies when ds1 is home).

For those who always seem to miss this - it's now up on the Choob.

My dd's are disturbingly into Auntie Mabel and I have to record it every day - they loved the poo episode and have watched it 3 times already. I think it may over-take their other top favourite episode 'Bricks'. The most disturbing thing is that it looks like a real poo- there was something about the way a little chunck broke off as it went into the bag. Also what's all that with the scary halloweeny stuff at the start?

TwoIfBySea · 06/12/2007 13:49

Its like one of those life changing events - when did you first see the "poo" episode!

I bet there were parents yesterday, watching open-mouthed in disbelief as their dcs giggled away. Ah those were the days.

MerryAnnSinglemas · 06/12/2007 13:51

I can't tell you how many times I saw that one - ds loved it !

OhLittleTownOfBotlehem · 06/12/2007 14:06

I am destined never to see the bloody thing. I'm always moaning about being at work whenever it's on, but yesterday I was at home with an ill dd. I was mumsnetting until about 3.45, so just before the OP appeared, and I turned CBeebies on at 4.15, just after the programme had finished. Grrrrrr.

And the YouTube link didn't work last night, and I'm not allowed to watch video at work. NOT FAIR

UnquietDad · 06/12/2007 14:16

Just tested the Choob link at it worked. Maybe do a search for "come outside sewage" if it doesn't for you.

aWorminaManger · 06/12/2007 14:19

I just had a look at this on UTube. Missed it when my DSs were little enough for this lovely programme. My jaw did drop with great force. But it's great isn't it. Just exactly fits the interests of its child audience.

OhLittleTownOfBotlehem · 06/12/2007 14:46

I think it's our connection that was the problem - it kept freezing. Strange because it's broadband and we never usually have problems. Will try again tonight.

Raahh · 06/12/2007 17:59

much as i hate the programe- it's amazing what kids learn from it. DS is obsessed by street lamps, after seeing how they work. And i have a fondness for the one where she goes to a pottery to make a brown teapot! The randomness of the subject matter has always tickled me. (like visiting the dry cleaners, or soap factories).

Aunty Mabels songs are all the same tune, with different words...

And i still can't help but think of 'Open all hours' when i see it

OhLittleTownOfBotlehem · 06/12/2007 23:26

Seen it seen it seen it! That's a life ambition realised - I only have to see the Northern Lights now and I can die happy.

'Can you see your poo in there, Pippin?'
