Am I being really thick here- if Stacey was let out if prison because it came out that Ruby set her up, why has she got a probation officer?

I also didn’t understand that Stacey was on probation. Ruby admitted that Stacey never pushed her. No crime was committed. Surely Stacey can also get some compensation for wrongful imprisonment. Wasn’t there some security footage which showed she didn’t push Ruby.

Maybe Ruby didn't actually admit it to the police and Stacey had just done her time and was released? Did we actually see Ruby tell officials she had perverted the course if justice? I can't remember now!

The probation would be because she's been released after serving most of her sentence. I agree that it means Ruby can't have told the police she lied though. Makes very little sense.
