Anyone had enough of that bank advert with the black horse? Depressing tune, about time they changed it.

The horse's name is Cancara.

But yes, the ad is shite

Cancara died about 20 years ago! But he was the original lloyds bank horse

I read though that they use horses of his bloodline. He was stunning.

I think it's a beautiful advert artistically.
Such a pity the message is total bullshit.

Banks are not our "friends", and no longer give a shit about their ordinary customers.
It makes my blood boil when they can spend, what - millions? on TV adverts, yet pay an absolutely crappy rate of interest on savings 😡

So did I, and I like the horses (loathe Lloyds though).

I met the original horse once, he was fabulous. He was the same one who appeared in the children's tv series Black Beauty (going back a while now).

I like the ad - especially the bit on the beach where the horse effortlessly sails past and the runners haven't a hope in hell of keeping up.

He was a Fresian wasn't he? Beautiful horses, and sorry to stick out from the crowd but I love the ads for that alone.
I may have ridden a friend's stallion who looked exactly like that, and loved every second!!

Oh I like it. It was filmed in Beadnell, Northumberland, not too far from me and the press were very excited about it at the time (as was I a bit)

I have always loved the Lloyds horse! No other banking advert can come close. The Halifax ones are annoying me at the moment. They should bring Howard back.

Hate the Halifax 'friendly' add. I was told by their 'friendly' assistant it was best not to use the paying in machine for paying money in.....after £20 of my money disappeared.

I don't mind the black horse, but I think it needs a rest now.
