My dd did dance lessons from 3 to 14 and it would be of no help to her.

My personal cut-off for ringerdom is whether they've ever filled in Occupation: Dancer on a form.

That would rule out TL Debbie and Ashley Pussycat.

But obviously a degree-level dance course like Caroline and Jay would be a massive advantage as well.

@EvilRingahBitch yep that's pretty much where I draw the line to. If you have a passport with "dancer" on it how can claim you are learning to dance?

I do think that Tom's sister being the West End star Carrie Hope Fletcher will help him too.

I must be getting old as I really don't get how Tilly is on it (she seems nice) as I have no idea what she does apart from having a famous Dad.
still she's there and hopefully will have fun.

Dan's got the big BBC breakfast audience to support him. I don't think he'll be first out.

He went to Sylvia Young which will probably give him more of a head start than anything he learns from Carrie, but she does have a passionate fanbase so he might get some more support that way.

I find it a bit annoying how Tilly is constantly bringing her dad into everything - I hope she knocks that on the head. I think Giovanni is due a win, he’s come close a few times now and has done some amazing dances with his partners. But we’ll see. I like Graziano but his partner is pretty annoying so he may not last that long.

She will have been told to. I remember Annika blowing the producers up on ITT for making her wear tracksuits and do running when she just wanted to do it properly like anyone else.

Not saying the producers didn't do that but as for Anneka wanting to do it properly like everyone else .. I think she quite openly refused to wear a dress? I think they were a bit stuck for what outfits they could put her in tbh.

The problem with Tilly I think is that until recently she was at school, and lives at home.

All her social media and the TV show was based around her family — she doesn't have a place of work or colleagues the way the others do.

Dd has just bought us tickets to see The Wanted next year, I know, boyband etc but hellooooo Jay McGuinness.

Thanks for posting that personified - I remember RW doing the special but couldn't remember how well he danced - actually has some decent moves in there and prepared to throw himself into the dance!

Tilly Ramsay has 9.5 million followers on TikTok, even if she turns out to be a duffer i think she could get quite far just with a fan base so large.

How? Will she turn up and do one of his turns with a fake wig and glasses? I think they might spot that. Pretty sure Tom will get all the coaching he needs on the show.

My daughter ( a pfeshnul dancer but in wafty contemporary stuff) was attending her first rehearsal of a new piece, about 6 months ago. She was partnering an older man, half recognised him, debut didn’t know his name until later…..yes, it was of course the fabulous Adam Cooper.

No, nobody's ever done DOI then SCD. For the first time last year a couple of SCD alumni did DOI (Jason D and Colon J)
