Greys anatomy Season 18 (USA Pace)

Season 18 returns to the states on 30th September. Anyone excited for it returning?
I know it's lost a lot over the years but a couple of the spoilers I've seen make me quite excited for this one!

I’m hoping they end it soon. It’s a shadow of what it once was..especially if I rewatch the first couple of series.

But I’ll still watch I have to see it through

I will watch it to see what happens next but I'm not expecting much.

I'm much more excited for the new season of The Resident (another medical drama that I totally recommend).

I'm not excited, although i did perk a little when I saw S18....

I wonder what they'll do

I did think the last season was gearing up to finish. I think a lot of things been tied up & wonder where they will take it now. It's defo not the same but I would never not watch it. I did actually quite enjoy the last season, I really enjoyed Jackson's exit & I found it all quite emotional in general but that's probably just because it was the middle of a pandemic in real life too!

I'm interested to see where it goes this season & how it pans out. It was something I seen online the other day that made me look forward to it (despite me trying not to see anything before it starts 😂)

I've been a fan of Greys for years, and it's only been this last season that I've actually thought it's time to end it. I don't know if it was due to the pandemic but there just seemed to be a shift in it and they seemed to be tying up a lot of loose ends.

Eh with Alex - as much as I dislike Krista as show runner (she was a better writer imo). Her hands were tied with his ending. I think she approached it from the wrong angle. Maybe have had Jo write to Alex and say that she couldn’t continue etc. But I don’t like Jo anyway so I wasn’t too fussed.

Agreed Karevs ending was awful & I don't believe for a second he would abandon Jo like that! I kept expecting him to appear again like I couldn't believe that was actually it!

Just seen this.. bringing back Ellis Grey for 'multiple episodes' signals the end to me!

This is the thing I was excited for that I wasn't sure if we were discussing I think she's fab so glad she's coming back!

Although I hadn't seen about Ellis returning that's interesting! It does seem like it might be ending. I do think they should wrap it up & end on a high.

I was thinking about Richard Webber the other day too, he's getting older how much longer will he want to be in the show but I can't imagine it without him either.

Last season was so awful, surely this one can only be better?

I prefer station 18 but do love the cross overs with greys. Did anyone see that Addison is back this season?

God last season was so so bad I didn’t finish it.The problem is they got rid of all the good characters and have awful ones like Maggie , helm, the gays guys are both woeful. I used to hate Amelia but now she is one of the better ones and she’s dreadful. Merideth seen as some sort of messiah. I love Kate Walsh so that’s good news. Teddy used to be good but they have written her so badly and don’t even get me started on eoin. I think it could have gone on and on but constant preaching has ruined it.

I'm excited for Addison to be back too! Hope this season is the last and it ends on a high as it really has run its course (but I'll continue watching for as long as it continues to be on TV!)

@MrsFionaCharming oh thanks for this! I've never seen an episode of Private Practice but always wanted to, and there's 6 seasons to get through!

Private Practice is great. I didn't like Amelia in GA but then watch PP and her character really grew on me and so then loved her in GA!

I'm guessing Megan Hunt is coming back for Owen & Teddy's wedding?

Will be interesting to see how they feature Ellis as a series regular, rather than just a flashback (preferably not on a beach I think we are done with the beach )

Is it worth watching? I always kept meaning to try it, and since Greys seems to have lost its way and potentially ending now might be a good time!

With you on this Glenda, I finally gave up on Greys last season. Looking forward to seeing how the writers handle the next big departure on The Resident.
