Poignant storylines in soap operas

So, after getting my fix of the UK soaps, I have to say I am impressed with the 'Air quality' story Coronation Street is running. I can't get out of my head the line Maria said "we are all killing our kids, how did we let this happen".
I think that line will stay with me for life and am thankful that I don't rive and add to air pollution.

What lines or stories in the soaps have left a mark with you?

I’m the opposite I hate these types of story lines, climate change, become a vegan etc. I much prefer the gritty more unrealistic to many of us, the serial killer. The one that makes me shudder are the DV ones even now Brookside with the Jordache and Little Mo and Trevor in Eastenders. Not happening as much because of Covid but the illicit affairs are always brilliant too

I do like those storylines too, but from all those storylines I don't recall any one line sticking in my memory, the only one I really remember was that scene where pat phelan went into the water
