Why do this always say of the the village of Midsomer before the show when it’s the county of?

Don’t they know they have it wrong?

I know it’s sad it’s driving me nuts.

That’s really irritating. Why do they even need to specify the nature of the area? Just say ‘we’re off to Midsomer’ or ‘Barnaby investigates another murder in Midsomer’?

(Mind you, I’m such an old saddo I can’t even watch the new episodes. It’s Nettles or nothing for me.)

Or the decimation of the Cotswolds continues in misomer murders 😂
