Yes!!!

I used to get watershipdown every week for about 6 months.

Then walk the ship on the way back to get my treats. Obviously with an adult but it was the highlight of the week! That and the lemonade van.

We used to get a candy floss man but he wasn't regular. He would turn up once every three months or so and you would see the kids running from all over to catch him.

Great memories.

We used to have a video man aswell with all the videos in his boot!

@nancybotwinbloom OMG we needed a candy floss and video man!! My cousins who lived on a their estate had a guy callled Gianasi who'd come on fri and sat nights in an ice cream truck but he sold fags, sweets, crisps, pop and ice cream it was bloody so exciting! My poor LG will never know this excitement or the simple joy of the trip to the video shop and getting sweets on route 🥺 life in my view is just just not the same! What happened with all this

Until Covid happened we had an ice cream van that sold all that too. I suspect he sold other things aswell Shock

I mean he came round once at six with the bells on but then came again about nine with no bells just the lights.

Op do you live on liverpool? We had an ice cream like this and his name was deffo similar if not the same. We called him the Batman Icy. No idea why. His Ive cream van was about as far from the bat man cat as possible!

@nancybotwinbloom ha ha ha no I'm from Stoke on Trent lol but this guy was round my aunts estate in Norton another estate but gosh I recall the first time she ran out the door and we all kids followed her and this ice cream truck all lit up was outside about 8.30 it will ace! My DD would have loved it! We didn't get anyone like him where we lived but we had a great garage shop on the main road, round the corner that sold everything! Beer, sweets, frozen pizza, just everything it was great! Just miss those days so much. Mum let us be kids and half terms were brill, wed take our pockey money to the garage and just get an entire bag of stuff and portion it out over the wk, she was pretty relaxed like that aboit it all, of course she made us meals but we had fun, she was type 1 diabetic from a young age and could never enjoy these things, it must have been hard her but she let us live and I'm so grateful for her for that x x
