How good is Deutschland 83?

I'm looking for my next binge watch. Tried this ages ago and gave up quickly. Should I try again? Is binge-worth?

It's great, l loved it.
Followed it up with 86, which is really good too if you stick with it, although first episode is a bit of a change from 83.
Recently saw 89, wasn't quite so keen on that.

I loved the first one, was bored by the second one (anything to do with arms smuggling makes me want to switch off) but thought the third series redeemed itself. The first series is excellent!

Loved them too but agree with englishmummy about the middle one which I didn’t really get into as much.
Goodbye Lenin is also good if you’re interested in that era.

It’s excellent. I preferred the first series to the consequent ones.
I love the sets - very atmospheric, especially the hero’s mother’s house.

Loved the first series, not really getting the second one.
