On Sky/Now on the True Crime Channel
‘The Widower’ a Dateline 3 parter
If you are interested in true crime this is fascinating, really interesting, the study of a true controlling narcissist Thomas Randolph who had 4 wives out of 6 who died…..
Heartbreaking actually but compelling viewing if you like this genre
I have not researched what happened (on episode 2) so no spoilers but I am hoping justice was served, the relentless investigation by the Las Vegas Defectives is admirable

I watched it.

I went on Reddit for some background info but was surprised to find not much.

Reddit’s usually a good resource …..I can’t stand the sight of him, so obviously awful, sad those lovely women fell for him. The second wife with her Aunty giving her money for electricity and he spent it on the life assurance premiums, so planned out - shocking. I’m getting back to it now
Hope he’s in jail 🤬

I thought he looked like a woman. I see someone in the programme made the same comment.

Have you seen the netflix and sky crime documentaries on the Sophie Todcan du Plantier case?

KarlMaldensNose · 09/08/2021 13:20

@LizzieMacQueen
He does, especially now he is older and with that horrible waist length hair
I am halfway through the last episode I cannot believe how arrogant he is I assume he thinks as he has got away with murder twice already it is bound to happen again, heartbreaking about the one that wife that was in the hospital, her poor daughter.
I am hoping he is found guilty. What a story and I am so admiring of the Las Vegas Detectives tenacity.
I missed out on Murder at the Cottage as It was coming up to the end and there were quite a few episodes so I didn't fit it in, I am sure it will be repeated and I have not had Netflix for about a year now as had watched everything I wanted to but will probably re-start membership soon

I binge watched it last week, fascinating story, he got nowhere near what he deserved.

TheWeeDonkey · 09/08/2021 14:06

Still got the last episode to watch. I'm fascinated by it. How did he manage to get away with all of that? I've never heard of him before.

Thats why he’s convinced he’s going to get away with it again - final episode he says with conviction ‘ I’m going to get acquitted’ he thinks everyone is stupid except him On another note I liked Eric Tarantino the star witness who he had tried to groom to kill wife number whatever 20 years earlier and then went on the run genuinely scared for his life. He was quite the character I thought I’ve got last half of last episode to watch later agree it’s been fascinating
