I remember them. I watched the whole Soapstar Superstar. The regular cast were not impressed and they didn't last long.

The actor was James Midgely - I always wondered if he was related to Hannah Midgely who played Victoria.

Considering he's a vet, Paddy isn't very bright. Emily tells him she's never been further than Hotten, yet he has Nicola hunting high and low for her passport.

All the teenagers were gathered in the Reynolds' house having a pow-wow, dressed like normal teenagers of the day and there's Eve dressed in a jumper and skirt like some middle aged frump. I can only guess that her suitcase of clothes didn't make it over from France so she's wearing some of Edna's!

Viv and Edna are quite a formidable combination. When you head them and Betty speaking about people, it's hard to imagine this was the norm 20 years ago.

Ah. I don't think I watched often at the time this was first aired. Think I must have missed them completely.

I vaguely remember the new family and the Soap star show. They just remind me of the Cairns family - so try-hard but terrible with it.

OMG the owl is gorgeous. I thought they had an empty box with recorded owl noises and wasn't expecting it to pop out and neither was Emily by the looks of it

Noticed some tinsel, baubles and cards in Viv's Shop

And The C Word ( Christmas) was mentioned

I've missed loads.

I'm fast forwarding through all the Mark/ annoying teenagers scenes, hurry up and go to prison or whatever 😀

Not enjoying it much atm. The Daggerts are awful with all their woe and misery, hopeless new family, Nicola and Bernice bickering and Mandy trying to ruin Paddy and Emily's relationship - thankfully Kathy should soon be off to whine in Australia.

I agree, so fed up with the Daggerts moaning, arguing and shouting.

I watched the two Friday episodes :
Half the village ends up at the Dingles and starting the day in the Wooolpack
Diane loosing her shit over a turkey ( It's Christmassss she shrieks )
Nicola and Rodney - nearly lost my lunch there
The fighting and arguing in the hospital

And surely Charity would say to Marlon "you're a Chef -and family- can you do 3 roast dinners on plates for us to heat up ? instead of MicroWave Meals .

I haven't seen the Kathy Goodbye - did she go to Australia ? With Alice and Elsa?

Yes, Kathy did a typical Emmerdale exit - leaving with a few days notice. Not sure what she's doing with her house or share of the business.

Have I missed something as Gloria seems to no longer be in it, but I can't remember her actually leaving?

Nicola and Rodney make me want to vomit - all this Little Princess rubbish - she's a grown woman FFS and is just a spoiled brat and that scene of Christmas Day - yuk! I really dislike Nicola in Classic and have never liked her in modern Emmerdale. She really doesn't have a redeeming feature.
