@OppsUpsSide

Oh and Jake’s a tit, his blood was boiling? Yea, because he got shown up as the person he really is and didn’t like seeing it laid bare in front of him. Liberty deserves a lot better.
I agree
Christinayangtwistedsister · 06/08/2021 22:16

Carrie you need the get behind Redtooth, I'm first!

fourminutestosavetheworld · 06/08/2021 22:17

Everyone got showed something that wasn't nice to watch but only Faye mismanaged the response so spectacularly.

It must be very difficult for the show. Weeks of no drama and everyone complains it's boring. A bit of drama and everyone is shouting about their mental health. They know the premise of the show. They know they're shown texts and tweets that are out of context and designed to stir things up.

I thought it quite telling recently when Faye said teddy wouldn't fit in with her family as they are 'brutal', so I think she is probably one of those people who are rude under the guise of being 'honest' or 'saying it like it is' and is enabled by everyone around her.
She basically also alluded to him being classy (jazz music, well dressed etc) which to me also sounded like he had etiquette/manners compared to the usual guys she's been with. In some ways, I do feel there's been an element of self-sabotage on Faye's part - it's clear she feels undeserving of Teddy's affection. That doesn't excuse the horrible behaviour she displayed tonight.
Anon778833 · 06/08/2021 22:17

@bobandhisburgers

Sherif was kicked out of LI for a lot less than the abuse that Faye has subjected the boys to tonight.
What did Sherif do? I can't remember
CarpyDiem · 06/08/2021 22:17

@hyperbole001

Thing is, Teddy is too nice. He deffo won't crack on with another girl while Faye is still there. She may receive the fewest votes and get her marching orders on Sunday
The vote was before all this.

I though Chloe (who was talking in one of her more normal voices) was talking good sense to Liberty - pointing out that Jake didn't come to find her and reassure her and tell her she's fantastic and he's so lucky.

We saw what he said, and it was all about the importance of being boyfriend and girlfriend and how that's a big deal. Which to be fair, he probably does see that way. But no understanding from him about how horrid it would be to hear, nor what he could be doing to show how he's moved on from the first impression and now finds her (fill in your own compliments here)

They were sleeping outside the covers at the bedtime shot, instead of being buried general and gently moving as usual.

Never did like Faye. Really don't want to see any more of her after thus episode. Quite understand why none of the girls (or other boys) is going to out themselves anywhere near the firing line. Polite distance I think is the best way for everyone now

Yes that conversation was quite telling. It sounds as if she comes from quite a loud outspoken family where this sort of thing is normal. If that's the case then she'll be quite surprised at how negatively her behaviour's viewed.
CoolKitkat · 06/08/2021 22:19

She's been quite catty at times in the past, but this was on another level.

CarpyDiem · 06/08/2021 22:19

Dales gone up in my estimation

I did like seeing him flossing these oh-so-white teeth. Best bit of tonight's show!

Oysterbabe · 06/08/2021 22:20

Millie was just relieved Liam's video wasn't worse

CoolKitkat · 06/08/2021 22:21

Poor Dale, he was like cannon fodder! No-one else dared try after his attempt to defuse things! 😊

I thought it was quite telling too but I drew different conclusions from you. I also remember her telling Sam that when she first got her lips done her parents told her that her lips looked like a baboons arse (or something like that). My conclusion was that her formative years with her parents and their 'banter' can't have been easy and she has reacted by developing a core of steel.

I am not defending her behaviour but trying to understand it - and as per another poster, I am disappointed that none of her friends tried to bring her down. I hope she gets some help

Christinayangtwistedsister · 06/08/2021 22:22

I didn't see Dales chain tonight, I wonder if it had a night off?

Yes. So cocky and abrasive even though it's clearly just a front to cover up her lack of self esteem.

Hopefully someone will tell her to stfu and calm down but strangely the girls seem to be enabling her whilst it's the boys who can see how unacceptable her rage is.

Zampa · 06/08/2021 22:23

@itsnotover

Lanre accidentally kicked Molly-Mae in the crotch during a play fight and then referred to it as a “c**t punt”.

Puffalicious · 06/08/2021 22:23

I'm still in shock how bad that was. I can give it out when I'm angry, but I'm a total amateur compared to what we saw tonight. Even then I need to be fuming about something really important. Faye needs to see this back and hopefully make some changes.

CoolKitkat · 06/08/2021 22:24

If one of the guys had kicked off like that, I'm sure the other boys would have tried to pull him away. A shame none of the girls did, even as a group? Safety in numbers.

bobandhisburgers · 06/08/2021 22:24

@Itsnotover Sherif accidentally kicked Molly-Mae in the crotch during a play fight. Apologised right away but made a jokey crass comment about it ('Cunt Punt' I think it was). No one was upset or injured. But the producers still removed him in the middle of the night.

Dancingonmoonlight · 06/08/2021 22:25

Poor Liberty.

Valenciaoranges · 06/08/2021 22:25

Jake: should have gone straight over to Liberty to talk to her. I hope she can see him for what he is
Faye: it’s very concerning watching her behaviour. She is clearly extremely vulnerable, has absolutely no self esteem so she goes on the attack to sabotage everything. It’s really awful and the Love Island team should step in.
Teddy: it’s really sad for him, but as think he is savvy enough to cope with it. I think his calm reaction shows he knows Faye is very vulnerable.
For me, Love Island is not learning the lessons from the tragic suicides and perhaps it’s time to call it a day.

Winemewhynot · 06/08/2021 22:26

@Bluntness100 fully agree, if Faye was a fella there’d be hell on! I’m fuming on Teddy’s behalf what a vile girl she is! Good on Dale having a go at speaking to her but there’s no educating stupid.

HadEnoughOfBears · 06/08/2021 22:26

Faye's only got fight or flight.
I feel sad about that for her, she shouldn't be like that.

I think it's really hard when in tbe situation to know what to do for the best, if risks escalating sometimes. I do think the producers should have removed her though, a bloke would have been, and if it had been kaz can you imagine.
AngeloMysterioso · 06/08/2021 22:27

Who was that girl who got kicked out in her first night a few seasons back when she lost her shit after someone spilled a drink on her?

OP posts:
jezzyj · 06/08/2021 22:27

God, he deserves so much better. Has been treated like shit by Kaz and now has Faye basically mocking him for being the 'quiet one' who finally has something to say. Well if having self-respect is considered 'quiet' (vs Hugo, Tyler and the other nobs) I'll take the quiet guy!

Kaz came across very badly when she was imitating Matthew. I sort of saw myself in him, as you say, being the quiet one who's an easy target (and she's the outgoing girl who's friends wi the everyone and more comfortable in the villa). Came across very badly, I'm now rooting for Matthew just for that.
