I'm a bit confused by this - I thought the cameras were meant to be 'fly on the wall', capturing the natural order of the day. If it took 5 'takes', doesn't that just tell us that it's all very staged?

I think (as was said further back in the thread,) Love Island is way more 'staged' than it used to be. Still quite addictive viewing, but not as organic as it used to be.

I'm not jealous of the Love Islanders. The thought of a poolside holiday without a pile of books makes me weep.

This. ^ If I was in there, I would be SO bored. No internet, books, magazines, TV, board games, video games, puzzle books, painting, drawing, nature walks, shopping trips, beach days, NOTHING ! I'd go loco!!!

I don't think it taking "five takes" for the miss means Hugo was told to do it, rather that he did it and it didn't work well for whatever reason so they asked him to do it again... but that's just my guess.

I wasn't keen on Abi when she was telling Toby to pick her over Chloe nor being so naive (or whatever it was) expecting Toby to stay true in CA... HOWEVER, those brief shots last night of her talking with Sam were like a completely different person. Instead of sitting all pouty and poised like she did with Toby and Dale, she was animated, relaxed, laughing, with a whole fresh personality. With that in mind, I don't get at all why she went for Dale over Sam, unless she is just much more herself when she doesn't fancy someone, which is sad.

Someone on here said there must be something off-putting about Sam as no one (apart from Faye at first) has gone for him, but from where I'm sitting he's way more attractive than Dale with those teeth and chains. Guess Dale has the charm, hairdressers often do and are also great at making people feel good, so maybe that gives him the edge. But still, it's a shame Abi has gone for someone in the hopes of 'forcing' him to like her, which will also probably mean Sam is sent home with Mary. And with Tyler (boo) and Clarisse (aw). Maybe they'll do some kind of twist where it's not whole couples who go but one member of each...

I agree - I find Sam very attractive. Reminds me of my favourite Beatle George Harrison in his heyday. Grin

The only negative thing about him I can imagine is the glee he showed when the postcard arrived. I think that can be excused on the grounds that the six new Villa lads must have been having a rotten time of it up until then.

I don't find Dale remotely attractive either in looks or demeanour.

I don't know why Sam didn't crack on and get to know Clarisse when it was clear Faye had moved on and Tyler was only using her. Maybe there's no spark, but it feels more like the new folk have been told to stay in their lanes as the stories are all about the originals. Something like that must have been going on as some of the couples felt like they were stuck with each other rather than being able to mix things up.

Yeah- It felt weird seeing Mary and Dale chatting yesterday because it was so unusual it almost seemed not allowed!

I find the pictures of Anton really sad.
There are a few female ex islanders who are also totally unrecognisable now - Georgia Steele for one. As someone upthread said it's coming from low self esteem etc. So sad people feel go to such extremes.

I find the pictures of Anton really sad.

I actually prefer his new look. His photos are odd though, none are really smiling or facing the camera. This made me wonder if they were taken whilst he's had work done.
