What's the point in a recoupling when there are even numbers? The men don't have to make any effort to get picked.

I took this to mean she’d pick Liam because that’s the proper mad thing to do - hope I’m wrong…

Also does anybody know if someone can choose not to go with the person who picks them? Or if a girls who picks later in the order can choose the same guy someone else already chose? I’m wondering if Kaz chose Tyler for instance (bleurgh) could he refuse, or couple up but then if Clarisse picks later could she also pick him and him ditch Kaz?

It happened on LI Australia a while ago. A spurned girl broke up the 'star couple' (guy was her ex from 1st week of show) and it was epic!

I think if someone had forced Toby to choose between Abi and Chloe before he went to Casa Amor he would have chosen Chloe. She ended it with him remember. And at that stage all he had done was have two chats with Abi because she asked him. Chloe was pulling faces about that as soon as they went off for their first chat.

So although I always want to be on the side of the girls (unpopular strident feminist that I am) I do feel it's more complicated and there are some interesting double standards going on.

Not with Tyler though - he is an arse and Kaz should get over it.

Still not really understanding the love for Teddy but I think people are saying him and Faye to win because they are bored with Jake and Liberty and there are no other obvious contenders atm. But there's still 3 weeks. I hope another good couple emerge somehow. I would be sad if Millie goes back to Liam and they win. He really didn't pass the test and she could do better.

TBF Chloe said she isn’t hanging around whilst he gets to know someone else which is why she ended it, people are saying Matthew is right not to hang around whilst kaz decides between the two so why should chloe have?

I'm willing to bet Hugo was encouraged to defend Chloe. He's hardly featured since Casa Amore because he's finally coupled up yet showing no interest. Willing to bet he will be out.

I am watching last night's ep again. I think Kaz probably thinks what she's doing is ok because Matthew knew from the start she liked Tyler and coupled with him only because of what Tyler did whereas Tyler was already with her and then I bet tk grt to know someone else BUT I still think she should realise it is a double standard.

And the way she spoke to Tyler, so righteous on her high horse..

I think the girls had to tell the producers privately who they plan to pick and then when they do the recouping they have to pick who they said they would.

Except that some people may have chosen the same person and the producers would know that when deciding the order so, say Abi and Chloe both said they'd pick Toby, the producers could let Abi pick first and then Chloe would know on her turn he's not available and pick someone else.

That's what I think anyway! I have no insider knowledge...

As far as I know, Matthew hasn't officially dumped Kaz. What I'm saying is Chloe dumped Toby after 2 chats with Abi in one day and that's all. Matthew is hearing Kaz saying she'll probably go back to Tyler even though he went off to Casa Amor for 3 days and came back with someone else but she still really fancies him despite all that. So it's not quite the same thing. I really did like Kaz up until this point, now I'm not sure.

In the Toby/Chloe/Abi/Mary love quandrangle the girls who have been badly treated are Abi and Mary. Not Chloe. Is my point.

In my real life I had a very tenuous connection with a senior Love Island producer (to do with children's out of school activities and the other parents you meet there).
