Isn't it possible that either the Juliet actress wants out or that the writers want her out or she was simply on a short contract that won't be extended?

Seems like a sledgehammer to crack a nut though. She could have just gone to look after a sick relative for ever or something, as usually happens. Then come back with a new head. Or not. Meh.

Yeah they could have just said she realised she wasn’t cut out to be a mother and that she didn’t want to take Carl from his parents so was stepping back and didn’t want more contact.

They missed their usual trick of having Carl 'overhear' all of that and then turning into devil child.

Its getting unbearable viewing so I've been skipping most of the episodes 😏

There's an Emmerdale spoiler thread somewhere if you can find it using the wonderful MN search facility.

They have become so bad at resolving stories. Just kill them off like Paul, or have them have killed someone and move away like Luke, or met someone in NY and move away like Juliette. Lydia's fraud charge - someone overseas did it so that's the end of that.

They have haven't they @JaneJeffer. What was the point in bringing Juliet in if she's just going to swan off to New York and abandon Carl? And all the upset she's caused, not to mention you could argue she played her part in Jimmy crashing the van due to him being stressed out and trying to make money to pay for a good family lawyer.

The only good thing that has come out of the Juliet story is that Nicola has proved how fabulous she is.

Juliet has to be one of the weirdest performances I’ve ever seen on a soap. I don’t know if she was directed to be that way or the actress decided that was how to play her but it was so bizarre. All that barely contained excitement and weird eyes. It was all wrong.

Who did Liv ring? Couldn't hear because of noisy family.

I know who Liv rung as seen a spoiler but won't say here. She didn't say their name so noone is meant to know yet.

I like your thinking @JaneJeffer! There could be so many ways to bring Robert back to Emmerdale, the writers have already proved they will write any old crap and exploit any tenuous character link 🤣🤣

It's really hard to avoid the spoilers at the moment as they are on TV and all over the internet and that is without even looking for them. I can only think they think it will drum up some interest as people have been fed up with so many of the storylines.

I don't think the spoilers will help with that
